I’ve been focussing on Wanda’s accent and I think its cool detail that her accent becomes American whenever she’s relatively relaxed because of the time she’s spent in usa and it becomes sokovian when she’s in battle mode because thats how she’s always been

    • Joel Clarke says:

@Anonymous amazing accent? get your ears checked buddy it’s god awful and ridiculously inconsistent.

    • Philngud says:

@Joel Clarke First, I can agree her accent started off pretty poorly and to be fair it’s gotten better but still sounds a little off. Reality: she got some criticism from the early accent, and I imagine the filmmakers and powers that be agreed it sounded silly, so dropped it (for civil war) the thing is though that it makes sense in-universe. I live in Canada and my best friend is a Turkish immigrant, while my father was a Chinese immigrant (it’s been long enough now that I think it’s fair to say he’s Canadian). Anyway point is both move between having an “accent” and “not” due to varying factors such as, who they are talking to (native speaker or friends/family from their countries of origin), when under stress, when relaxed at home and unobserved. So it does make sense in universe, as the original comment said, during moments of stress, or when with people she’s comfortable with.

As others mentioned, she does bring the accent back somewhat during Wandavision, and as I said at first it does sound a bit better but still a bit cartoonish. Still, as folks mentioned it’s a made up country so who are we to say if that’s not how folks from there talk. But that is a bit of a stretch and generous, I’ll say that.

Other point some folks didn’t mention is she’s a reality warper in comics and starting to be in Wandavision and in Age if Ultron she was at very least a telepath. So we could explain her flawless American accent as her abilities creating the illusion. This would be confirmed by Wandavision where we see that she very much loved and emulated American tv, and could be acting out the “accent”

Anywho all to say it’s an interesting thing to debate about in-world logic for a switching accent ahaha

This is indeed a very nice observation, I completely agree I never noticed that about her character

      @PepperDayJack pac right

@Joel Clarke ummm clearly we not watching the same mcu content because she does an Amazing accent and the reason they dropped it is because she was undercover after civil war and now when she gets mad her accent really shows but imma need you to pay attention to details buddy😂

  4. Spider-Man: No way home says:

This looks incredible, the cinematography, the colour grading, the action everything looks on point, this has the potential to be one of the best movie

  5. Maddie Jung says:

To those questioning Wanda’s accent, you clearly didn’t watch Wandavision because they explained it, they even make jokes referring to it.

  6. Just Some Guy without a Mustache says:

When this movie finally releases, it’ll be a dream come true.

    “It’s Strange.”
“Maybe… who am I to judge?” Forever one of my favorite lines from the first movie 😂

  8. onami says:

The “okay” from Dr Strange seems like he’s ready to face every single things…

  9. Alphidius says:

The magic and horror element is super intense in this trailer! I can’t imagine the plot going into the rabbit hole like Alice in Wonderland.

  10. Thor Odinson says:

If this is how crazy the second one is, imagine how crazy Doctor Strange 3 will be.
