Be prepared for the butthurt fanboys that are going to stop watching the show because a capable actor is playing The Doctor.

Way to go, BBC. Nice way to ruin your own TV Show.

54 years being male and they did this.

So happy, finally there’s a female Doctor Who after nearly 50 years of regeneration. Well done Jodie Whittaker xxx

This just looks like the BBC is pushing an agenda. They could have had a female Timelord, they know where Gallifrey is, it’s in a pocket dimension. If this were canon from the beginning I wouldn’t have a problem with it but I just can’t get on board with this change. It looks too much like the SJW’s at the BBC have taken over.

I’m actually very upset. Not because of the fact that she’s a woman per se, but because I can’t help but think that now the show’s going to be about showing us that SHE can do the same as any man, because of all the Social Justice movement and stuff. Like how they reminded us that Bill was gay every chance they got. I honestly don’t want Doctor Who to become that kind of show…
For instance, I know it may sound stupid, but I’m honestly hoping she doesn’t wear makeup. Why? Because The Doctor doesn’t care for stuff like that!
I just feel like it’s going to change the vibe of the show, much more than they intend it to.
Of course I am a bit hopeful, maybe the new writer knows how to handle it, but I’m still terribly afraid

  15. Sedona Crouch says:

How could you do this to us BBC!?! I’ve waited so long for a new doctor and you bow into public demands? She’s not a redhead (; How long will my demographic have to wait for a role model?

I actually like the idea of getting a female doctor for once. So many people are getting butthurt but give her a chance why don’t you

  18. Ramessess [ZED] says:

Don’t be so sexist, she is unbelievable actor

  19. strawberrybankai12 says:

the just feels like they’re pandering to the fans that wanted a female doctor like I honestly don’t see a reason why they needed to do this

edit: I honestly don’t care that the doctor is now female I just want to know why at this moment

Good grief, I haven’t seen such negative reactions since the new Top Gear presenters were announced. I’ll admit, when Michelle Gomez as Missy was revealed to be the first female Master, I initially had mixed feelings about that. But I soon grew to like Michelle Gomez as Missy. So, I think we should give Jodie Whittaker a chance as the first female Doctor. Plus, she’s got nice hair, so I like her already.
