This technology is a fundamental breakthrough in manufacturing. This is a big deal.

These are called “Polymagnets” or “Programmable Magnets” or “Printable Magnets” or “Printed Magnets”.

Here’s the Polymagnet homepage: http://www.polymagnet.com/

The magnet I used in the pull test demo was part number 1000425. You can find it in the interactive catalog here: http://catalog.polymagnet.com/

That “printer” does not look like something housing a huge magnetic field
generator, my theory as to how it works is by just heating a small portion
of the magnet, that portion then becomes a “hole” and the rest of the plate
is turned into a ring magnet, a bunch of magnetic field lines finds this
shortcut and goes through the whole to the other side. Those field lines
then work on their heated buddies that sit in the hot hole, the heated ones
they flip and as it cools they are locked into their new direction.

This might solve the problems that make all the b.s. magnet
motorsgenerators not really work like they are supposed to. Probably
nothing could do that because unlike the laws in this country, physical
laws can’t be rewritten, amended, or changed to suit whatever human desire
demands at that particular time in history.

  7. Luke Turner says:

Instead of grooves in pin tumbler keys, they could be printed magnets in
the place of the grooves, and the pins in the lock would probably have to
    be magnets also.

I wonder what this can be used for with the auto industry epically electric

I don’t know if this is a silly question, but i would like to know what
advantages does have this technology over a set of organized little magnets

Magnetic engines. That’s probably the most important thing that they can
    make with those “polymagnets”.
