They actually said the difference between nether gold ore and gold ore is deliberate since they work differently – one gives nuggets and one needs to be smelted & requires an iron pickaxe

  2. Vosse Plackis says:

I hope they add a structure like a temple in the larger caves

    • Cutmeloosebruce says:

@NedRedGuy // thats what part of me hopes will happen for 1.18, jungle temples, desert temples, nether fortresses for sure, spawners, end dungeons, mineshafts, mansions, plus maybe adding a few new ones, although that might be to much for one update.

    • Cutmeloosebruce says:

@ooliver i think at some point they will, everyone knows how boring and basic all the old stuff is, the only stuff that could go without change IMO is pillager towers, villages (for the most part), bastions, and sea temples, the rest need a real overhaul, even if they decide not to add some crazy boss or OP loot or whatever

    • The 2894th comment says:

I’m sure they’ll add something. Maybe they’ll make dungeons better, they’ve kinda just been these cobblestone boxes for a while now

    • Κωνσταντίνος Περγαντής says:

Well I dont think they will, they said the things that will be sure added in Cave Update and now they only add small details,so sadly we need to wait

  3. Ryan says:

He sounds like he’s giving a weather forecast, but for Minecraft snapshots

  4. emeraldwolf1 YT says:

Can’t wait in Hermitcraft S8 when everyone falls through skylights and loses all their items.

  5. Steven Nogaro says:

Imagine a mob that imitates a spore blossom, but when something goes underneath it, it just tries to eat them.

  6. Not A nut says:

Imagine if they add the old bedrock fog in the deep dark caves and they can be reduced by light sources

  7. Luan Parreira says:

Imagine they add ice caves where you can find tons of blue ice, that would be so so useful

  8. Tempered Bow says:

Man was really having some noodles and cheese and was like “I’m gonna design the Minecraft cave update based on this”

  9. early riser says:

i just got a commercial of a guy in a very bad bee costume talking about “honeycomb” lol

  10. Henry Ambrose says:

If you look at the chart, you can see that there are two shapes for lapis. One is labelled “no air exposure” but the other isn’t. I take this to mean that the frequency of exposed and hidden lapis veins is different.

Edit: I found 2 hidden messages in the chart. Those were fun to discover (but hard to read through the jpg compression)

  11. Braced says:

Ruined portals generating in the new caves is a must have

  12. MidKnightShade says:

“Crack cavers” yeah that’s gonna be every caver once the update drops.

  13. Isrieri says:

Calling it now: When its time to add in mountains we’ll see chalk cliffs made from calcite.
Swapping Tuff with smooth basalt and making it into a depths block was the perfect choice: I love the way tuff sounds and can’t wait to have chests full of the stuff!

  14. Soviet Bear says:

This snapshot is a huge improvement, especially with the textures. I do think deepslate should have the slate texture on all sides so that it looks more natural in all cases and so that it can be better used in building.

    • Cristalskulle says:

      Yeah I agree

    • KidPrarchord95 says:

I think it works best being like this by default, then having a craftable alternative with the texture on all sides. As it stands, it tiles far more interestingly than stone, giving caves deeper down a more distinct look in comparison than just a different looking stone could on its own. I also think the top texture makes a great flooring block

    • Ankur Bhattacharya says:

Yes. Because I think the sides should not be naturally cobbled. And I also think that we would be able to smelt cobbled deepslate similar to cobblestone.

    • Plopper says:

@L3monsta They look better, You’re just blinded by nostalgia.

    • Erebus Nyx says:

Iron ore is actually missing in the game

  16. Pisstrument says:

I know this may seem off topic suggestion, but Particles from Basalt Delta on Nether shouldn’t able to enter the interior of buildings if it’s enclosed similar to rain or the particle from that plant in this video

  17. J H says:

It would be cool if you could dye those flowers to get different particle colors too. Would give dye more utility and players the ability to make more atmospheric effects. Maybe also have a smaller flower that has a smaller drip.

    • Able Todoit says:

      Kinda like dyeing a beacon?

    • Jafar Alsari says:

      “No” mojang said

    • Dr Hund says:

    • Johnwel Enciso says:

I don’t like features that are just shoved in just for completion, and Minecraft is great at not doing this

Like for example, honey blocks and slime blocks, the community wanted slime blocks that didn’t stick to one another and mojang didn’t just give a new slime block that was dyed, instead, when the bugs and bees update was introduced, they found the perfect way to do it and it was through honey blocks

I like that Minecraft doesn’t operate in a “I like that feature so I’ll add it” which gives room for more unique blocks that can give more atmosphere, maybe more flowers and blocks like crying obsidian already give particles

    • ᴏɴɪᴏn ɢᴀᴍᴇs says:

This update already gives a lot more new features i think that would be for the future XD

  18. AceZero says:

I’m really digging the shaded version of a diamonds for the black blocks

  19. Ninjakitty234 says:

The iron looks like toenail clippings

I’m gonna tell my friends, this cave noise sounds like a cheesynoodle to confuse them
