Moana Official US Teaser Trailer

Moana Official US Teaser Trailer

Watch the brand new teaser trailer for Disney’s Moana! See the film, starring Dwayne Johnson & Auli’i Cravalho, in theatres this Thanksgiving! 🌊

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.

This movie looks great, but lets talk about whats really amazing. The
trailer itself! It gave the perfect amount of information to get me
interested without revealing any major plot points. Every other movie
    marketing team take notes please.

This sounds pretty basic. Nothing special. Like Tarzan or something. No
one’s really gonna care about it very much in ten years.

  6. Alasdair Bobson says:

Love that when Maui turns into the bird his hook is patterened onto his
    right wing feathers! Nice touch!

as a Maori , I am yet to be convinced, I expected much better , especially
with the music. as for Maui i feel as though our “Demi-God” is being made
out to be a mockery his stories are legendary . although this is only the
first trailer aimed at the American market….

This trailer looks like Maui is the main character instead Moana.

  19. DeathSledge says:

The Maori people will probably kick up a stink about this. Maui is supposed
to be a Maori who fished up the North Island of New Zealand, the South
Island is his waka (canoe) with his grandmothers jaw bone. He looks Samoan
in this movie (based on his build and the tattoos). Maori people are super
protective of their culture, so it will be interesting to see their
    reception of it.

Wait I’m so confused. This is set in the south pacific right? Cause at D23
the directors mentioned it will be, but every american youtuber I see hypes
about how Hawaii gets another movie.
