Nuclear Energy Explained: How does it work?

Nuclear Energy is a controversial subject. The pro- and anti-nuclear lobbies fight furiously, and it’s difficult to decide who is right. So we’re trying to clear up the issue – in this video we discuss how we got to where we are today, as the basis for discussion. Next week we’ll be looking at the arguments for and against nuclear power in detail.

    Ok then

  2. Nathan T says:

Are you going to explain some of the other types of reactor?

  3. Celestial Runner says:

I wonder if anti nuclear hippies ever think of the 2 million people that
die each year from pollution caused by burning coal. Compared with that
    nuclear becomes very safe.

  4. alex Popescu says:

Given the right type of nuclear energy, a thorium nuclear reactor for
example, it could easily be the energy of the future. Thorium reactors
provide less nuclear waste, a safe plant design, and a sustainable source
of energy that yields far more energy per meter than any fossil fuel or
renewable energy source. I highly suggest that you research it for

  5. Bourgond Aries says:

iirc burning coal actually spreads more radioactive elements into the
atmosphere than nuclear reactors do due to natural carbon-14 content in

Now a days whole world need neuclear energy

There are a lot of youtuber’s promoting audio books… I like reading, not
listening to someone read me a bedtime story. Oh well.

    Explain thermonuclear reactions and energy!

  12. Sonu Nampalli says:

Pro Nuclear! It is expensive but it is worth it to protect our planet!

  14. Cactus Smoke says:

And not one single mention of thorium reactors. You know Thorium, the most
abundant and safest nuclear fuel on earth. You know its that thing they
keep out of your test books in science class because we have to have
nuclear waste for building bombs. And unfortunately thorium doesn’t produce
    that kind of waste…

  15. Commenting Otaku says:

Nuclear power is highly unstable if managed inproperly. It could explode
anytime, and creates polution, however if managed properly the pros would
    override the cons.

A lot of people still don’t know what exactly nuclear energy is. This video
    can be a starting point.

  18. Scott G says:

Liked this video. Would like to hear more about the talking points for the
clean energy debates. Hydrocarbon’s vs Spent nuclear fuel waste. Unbiased
    look at the two.

GREAT vid. Thank u for sharing in an understandable way.

    Incredibly well explained. Good job!
