Overwatch Cinematic Trailer

Fight for the Future: http://www.playoverwatch.com

In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world. This organization, known as Overwatch, ended the crisis and helped maintain peace for a generation, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery.

After many years, Overwatch’s influence waned and it was eventually disbanded. Now in the wake of its dismantling, conflict is rising once again. Overwatch may be gone…but the world still needs heroes.

Uhm fuck the game, can blizzard make this a fucking movie!! Idc if I’m 18
and this would most likely be a kids movie, I would watch it!! That was
    fucking Awesome

To all the “Hardcore” players out there. Go back to that hole you call your
    mother’s basement.

  4. paul hudson says:

Why not just call it New World Order?

  5. mjolnirxz says:

    This looks fucking amazing!!!!

Yes, I agree. Blizzard has hit rock bottom. And it’s not whether a game
is “hardcore enough” for certain gamers, as games don’t have to be so
    serious.

Overwatch, along with hearthstone, heroes of the storm, are vastly
different from the traditional near-perfect games that Blizzard used to
produce. It’s clear these new games are ALL about money. Spending far
less money on a game-making that undoubtedly will come with bucket loads of
subscription fees, micro-transactions and e-sport revenue. There is
nothing wrong with making money but please remove “Gameplay First” from
your orc&wolf statue and please remove “Gameplay First” from your company’s
mission statement. You are not worthy. You are not worthy of creative
big-dreamers such as Rob Pardo working for you anymore. You may not be a
cesspool of money-grubbers YET but neither are you considered to be “the
pixar of the animation industry” or “Steven Spielberg of directors” anymore.

The giant statue in front of Blizzard that says “Gameplay First” can now be
“Money First”. Then again, I said it was “money first” a long time ago,
    when Blizzard went on Nasdaq.

I thought the monetary gains of WoW would gave you more cash to make even
better games. I was wrong. Money, indeed, does corrupt.

P.S. And for fuck’s sake, please don’t make identical copies of
well-remembered characters (the that-was-awesome kid from The Incredibles).

This could be a great movie

  8. Maxwell Hill says:

What can you produce with a billion dollars? Who knows, but blizzard made
this and even though it will probably get a lot of hate I’m sure it will
find much more love. Blizzard has released games people haven’t liked, but
they haven’t released a game they haven’t liked. I’m glad to see it’s a new
IP. It looks like a pixar film, while sounding like a starcraft 2
    cinematic.

  9. Sam Haines says:

I’m so exited for this game, Looks amazing!!!!!

  10. A0Refrigerator says:

I hope the kids are in the game and you can murder them.

    Is Pixar working on it?

  13. Faux Smile says:

I’m looking forward to this game, and hoping (probably in vain) for a movie
    as well!

  14. Mr. Sticks says:

Blizzard, please, for the love of all that is holy, if you choose to make
this a Free 2 Play game make it so that you can only buy cosmetic/flavor
items (like Dota 2, TF2). Please do NOT make it Pay2Win or pay to unlock
characters. If you guys are thinking about that route, please just put a
$60 price tag on the game and give us all the characters, stages, etc. I
HATE it when arena/hero based games make you pay for characters and just
rotate free ones in and out (like LoL, Smite, etc.) It feels like a much
cheaper game experience when I am restricted to 30% of the content unless I
pay for each hero/character individually. Just make us pay for the game in
full and give them all to us, or make it so we’re only buying cosmetic
items/skins for the characters, and not the actual characters themselves.
For me, that will be a make-or-break situation. I know everyone has an
    opinion, but that is mine.
