Welcome! Its funny ive been with them since impassion and every time they drop a new song it feels almost groundbreaking for whats supposed to be the norm for a genre/guitar playing in general. These guys always have something fresh

Everyone likes to fawn over Tim, but the rhythm section is what makes these songs work. Aeschliman and Gober don’t get enough credit.

@Peter Totally understand that. Tim’s got a lot more flash, to be sure. But Clay definitely has groove .
I think one of the best things about Polyphia is that all their songs absolutely groove along with being nerdy shred sessions. Good songs on top of talented playing.
How can their rhythm section be so solid when it’s entirely made of clay

Clay is easily one of my favorite modern drummers. The guy is just INSANE.
I really like how Scott’s track sounds almost like a modern vocal melody.
Now this is the type of stuff i’ve been waiting for in the new Polyphia tracks. The catchy melodies and jamming of the old mixed with the beats/production of the new age. LOVE THIS.
This track is amazing. It feels like a mixture of oldschool shreddy polyphia mixed with everything new they’ve made in the last few years and I’m loving it. Also feel like Scott has way more presence in this song. Fuck yeah 🤘🏼
@Yuna Chan The bossa nova part was ambiguous but you can’t deny the first half had a distinct melody, it was just buried in other notes
@Christopher Mills It’s kind of cuter tho. Lit was hype and epic, but I feel like this one I vibe to more casually (but it’s all subjective anyway)
