Fun fact: the pink spider with long arms is actually based off a real toy, Betty Spaghetty, who was made in the 90s/early2000s. Her main selling feature was having long bendable arms and legs.

Quick update: I wrote this video and conducted my analysis very quickly to get the video out ASAP. It was basically my first impressions of the trailer. With that in mind there is one small alteration to make – I reference the Huggy Wuggy during the opening of the trailer as potentially being the body of the one who fell into the pit at the end of CH1. That doesn’t seem to be the case when we consider the scale of the scene. This doesn’t alter any of my other thoughts in this video. It’s just a small oversight.
However the Huggy at the start of the trailer 100% symbolises the one who fell into the pit at the end of the previous chapter. It’s a great segue into this new episode.
If you paused at 1:35 you see the hand scanner compared to mommy’s hand which looks a bit big, she might be as big as huggy or maybe bigger idk for sure.
I don’t know, I think it works. MLL could really be just that massive. 🤷🏻♀️

Actually, I think the reason that she’s called “Mommy Long Legs” is a nod to the spider known as “Daddy Long Legs” as Mommy seems to be based on a spider

Daddy Long Legs aren’t spiders, they’re harvesters, which only have 1 body segment unlike spiders which have 2

I really like the fact they didn’t just do a pink Huggy Wuggy like most people were thinking but instead a even more unsettling character with eyes that can stare into you freakin soul.
Based on an obscure detail from chapter one, we know that the other ‘experiments’ in the factory kill for sustenance, whereas huggy doesn’t go hungry. I’m pretty sure mommy long legs is dragging huggy’s corpse into the darkness to eat him, thus removing the character from gameplay.

@JJ It might be but judging through the placement of where huggy is when he first gets dragged could mean there are bigger enemies than huggy judging by how big the spider is (or as poppy calls her “mommy”)
Quick Theory: Mommy ‘Longlegs’ could be the first ever human experiment that Playtime Co. ever created. Hence why she says that it’s been too long. She’s been there for the longest and she ‘watches’ over all of the toys that come to life and stalk around. Another thing is Poppy saying that Mommy doesn’t like guests and that the player is too ‘perfect’ to lose. It could be that Poppy wants to control the player for herself and views Mommy Longlegs as a personal enemy.

Because she is also the ‘mother-figure’ of all the toys. I can theorized that this is the woman who was interviewed in the tapes.
Not only that I’m also excited for chapter 2 arriving soon But the Mommy Long Legs is like the two combinations between Betty Spaghetti and Spinel from Steven Universe.
I really hope that huggy-wuggy will be back soon and forgive us from a long fall 💕
Super excited for this game, and veryyy interested in Poppy being perhaps an ally? Either that or a more sadistic observer. Multiple Huggys makes me uncomfortable in the best way, and “Mommy Long Legs” looks like she’ll be a very fun and terrifying opponent. Hoping for a release (when it’s good and ready) soon!!
I feel like Fairly Odd Parents have some part of inspiration here with Mommy Long Legs. She, to me, looks like Wanda and even has the curl in her hair. Her eyes remind me of Cosmo. I love her look.
I just realized that all of the bosses can be found in like a garden or meadow, (the spider, caterpillar and the flower). So I have this really huge feeling that maybe Catbee (A bee) will be in chapter two and they probably just didnt show it in the trailer because they might want Catbee to be a surprise boss. I’m super excited for chapter 2 aaaaah.
