This is Mark’s genius, absorbing all of the Mob’s hate for this game for everyone who’s “boycotting” it after what’s been exposed, knowing the Internet can and never will ever hate Mark!
I wouldn’t go as far as to call him genius or say the internet doesn’t hate him.. just cause youre obsessed with him on your weird parasocial relationship trip doesn’t mean everyone else is. Just a grown man playing video games…

but for a TL;DR of both;
It’s a very “he-said/she-said” situation for what exactly happened with the bullying, but it’s worth noting that both parties have already resolved it and the victim of said bullying has already asked people to drop it and not “cancel” MOB.
As for the NFTs, they’ve already apologized for that and said they wouldn’t make anymore, but couldn’t cancel the current ones due to a contract.
Lastly, there’s people upset with them having merch and plans for a movie when the game isn’t completed yet, and they think that’s scummy. IMHO that’s just a company being a company; have to feed the devs somehow. But that’s just my personal opinion.
@Melancholic Egg I agree, I think the nft stuff was the only thing stopping him and as far as he’s concerned, which he mentioned it in the video, they stopped, I’ve even heard they donated the money to charity, and he has every right to forgive them, I don’t think mark is a horrible enough person to where he’d play knowing they still did nfts, but I agree the way he handled it seemed kind of weird
@edwiniseman4 I get wanting to play it to see the story if you’re hooked, but publicly supporting it after the ceo’s of mob games were outing as bulling an animator so badly they had to go to a mental ward.
Mark is a huge YouTuber and has a large amount of young impressionable kids, the exact demographic “poppy’s playtime” is trying to squeeze every last drop of money out of through merchandising.
I wouldn’t fault mark for that, but given the circumstance I would say it’s just not a great move
It’s not that the internet will never hate Mark, it’s that he has the biggest army of obssessed clowns who will literally destroy the image of any game dev he doesn’t like, and he knows it.
