President Ashraf Ghani leaves Afghanistan

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has left Afghanistan for Tajikistan as the Taliban closes in on Kabul, according to several media reports.
Ghani’s departure comes amid negotiations for a peaceful transfer of power after Taliban fighters encircled Kabul.
The president’s office told the Reuters news agency it “cannot say anything about Ghani’s movement for security reasons”.
Meanwhile, a Taliban official told Reuters they were checking reports about Ghani’s departure from the country.
On Sunday, Taliban troops surrounded Afghanistan’s seat of power but promised not to attack. The group said it has instructed its fighters to refrain from violence and offer safe passage to anyone wishing to leave Kabul.

@xyzy zyxz “Because 99% of the afghani people favor Taliban directly, or covertly”
Straight up BS when we see millions of Afghans fleeing the Taliban.

      Why make up stupid things?

Regular people don’t have guns. And the warlords are not seeing what is best for regular people, but to them personally.
Thus, the Taliban road is cleared.

@Vinayak s It was the poppet regime the US installed that was oppressive.

@Binaryswinery They didn’t want to die for the corrupt puppet regime the US government installed.

All of the top officials became millionares from embezzlement, bribes, kickbacks, and collecting paychecks from fake soldiers. The money came from all the “foreign aid” we gave to the Kabul government over the years. Can you blame Afghan soldiers for not wanting to die for such evil people?

@Bjumpork 0 The Afghan government was 100% puppet. It was a classic example of a puppet regime, propped up with petro dollars.

@M Crump You wanna play that game? Who was president when we invaded them based on a stupid theory that had no merit? Who was president when the Muslim ban happened, but Saudi Arabia wasn’t included in it? All you republican trash think about is money. At any cost to human life. Had we sanctioned Saudis and Pakistan in the first place, none of this would have happened. Not by the U.S.

Joe Biden, July 8: ‘ The Taliban is not the south — the North Vietnamese army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of a embassy in the — of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.

The Taliban Overrunning Everything and Owning the Whole Country Is Highly Unlikely.’

That’s the ultimate failure. Basially the president said, “I’m out from this mess my folks but dont worry I have told some people to take care of you all.. Be safe for now”

    • Fatema Sherzad says:

Don’t be stupid, what he did was for his people, if he wouldn’t resign for the taliban, then the taliban would take our country by fighting not peacefully like how it happened, and they would kill alot of people, including the president.

    • Fatema Sherzad says:

Yall always have to attack our president, he’s one of the bravest❤ proud of him.

    • Tsubadai Khan says:

@Fatema Sherzad The Taliban might not be fighting now, but how long before public executions without trials start? At best the body count changes by a couple of percent.

    • Tsubadai Khan says:

@Fatema Sherzad Good to see you’re proud of a man that was a fraction of a millimeter above useless. Apparently that makes you remarkable in Afghanistan.
How much cash did he run away with?
