Republicans And Billionaires Plot Evil At Island Getaway

A couple days ago there was a meeting of some of the most powerful people in the country. The donor class and their Republican puppets. They flew out to a fun island getaway to plot their next moves. Cenk Uygur, host of the The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

“Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute’s annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.

The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he “cannot support Donald Trump.””*

Did you ever consider that the wealthy and corrupt don’t want Trump in
because he will fix the broken system and he will stand up for everyday
Americans? Suddenly, Cenk is on board with the rich when he doesn’t like
    the candidate. Fuckin’ sellout.

It’s pretty easy to stop Trump. All you have to do is stop Clinton and let
    Bernie become the nominee.

Well, here I am in the awkward position again—a Bernie supporter—who, in
this instance, will defend the Trumpsters. And what is it these elites so
dislike about Trump? They can’t control him. At least not completely.
Granted, Trump is still on their side—he’s never proposed anything that
makes him “a traitor to his class” (never taken the same positions as FDR
did). But…he’s not a marionette. You want him to start dancing, well, then
you have to giggle the whole damn stage around—and that means work. Elites
don’t like work. They want their Jeb Bush back. And if they can’t get that,
then they want their Hillary in the White House.

And why don’t the elites perceive Bernie Sanders as more of a threat?

Because they really are THAT insulated from the public. A lot of these
elites have the misconception that we, the people, perceive Bernie Sanders
the same way as an individual born into a million-dollar trust fund
perceives Bernie Sanders. And we don’t.

That, and they really don’t care about Democrats anyway. The Dems have
always been the elite’s “second choice”, and so if the Dems get a maverick
like Sanders, well, so what. The Republicans, on the other hand—well,
they’re the party that manages to push through the Patriot Act, Iraq
Invasion, Bush Tax Cuts, lead-up to war with Iran, no sympathy for Black
Lives Matter, hatred for unions, TARP bailout, plus about 2 dozen GOP think
tanks that constantly come up with ways of pitting the poor against the

And so here’s Trump, behaving like a bull in a china shop—yet it’s these
elites’ china shop. They want him out. Like RIGHT NOW.

And I do have a lot problems with Trump myself. A lot of problems with his
supporters, too. But nonetheless, they are what they are—selfish and racist
rednecks, minus the pretense of being anything else. I give them credit for
honesty. Yet “honesty” is not how elites operate. They operate on
subterfuge and on finding political candidates willing to go along with
    that tact. Trump won’t.

Wouldnt be better to be one party like China? I mean is one of the 2

    outside enemies instead of itself.
