Rosario Dawson Arrested At Democracy Spring Protest

The Democracy Spring protests continue in Washington, D.C. with the goal of fighting corruption and money in politics. It is the largest demonstration of civil disobedience in the 21st century. Actress Rosario Dawson was recently among those arrested. Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola (ThinkTank), and Jayar Jackson, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. “About 100 more people have been arrested in Washington, D.C., as part of the ongoing Democracy Spring protests against corruption and big money in politics. Wednesday marked the third consecutive day of mass arrests at the U.S. Capitol, after 85 were arrested Tuesday and more than 400 on Monday.”

    homophobes…,” even though those charges were not rooted in facts by the
    left when they peacefully gathered to petition the very same government.

    constantly reminded of the following quote:

    “Let them march all they want, as long as they continue to pay their
    taxes.” – Alexander Haig

    Civil disobedience comes in many forms. I suggest that the one you’re
    taking is likely to be the LEAST effective. But perhaps. also it causes the
    least disturbance to those who need to have their lives disturbed.
