Star Trek is finally moving forward in the timeline!
It’s all I’ve wanted since the TNG movies came to an end. That was 17 years ago.
    This makes me so happy!

    • RabidDogma says:

No more of the ridiculous “new universe.” No more non-Klingons.

Finally, they did what they should have all along. Further the timeline, but keep Roddenberry’s vision alive. FINALLY.

    • ProperModulation says:

I REALLY REALLY hope they don’t eff this thing up like Discovery.

    • Your Geeky Ojisan says:

No more reboots, no more prequels, no more alternate timelines!
They’re finally doing what everyone wanted them to do when Voyager ended. We’re pushing the timeline forward!
Seeing as Patrick Stewart was heavily involved in conception, and Jonathan Frakes is directing at least one episode, I have high hopes.

    • Robert Davis says:

Yes, finally we get to see what happened !!!

  2. kryten09 says:

I’ve not been interested in the lastest (past 10-15 years) Trek.. but out of respect for Captain Picard and Patrick Stewart.. I’ll give this a watch.

They even brought back the actor that played “Hugh” the Borg.

    • PiLambdaOd says:

There hasn’t been much Trek in the last 15 years.

    • kryten09 says:

      Star Trek movies 1,2,3
      2 seasons of “discovery”

    • Frank Green says:

Wait Hugh was in this trailer, and I missed it. Damn!

    • Timothy Barr says:

@kryten09 like he said, not much star trek – enterprise was meh, the movies are abrams garbage, discovery also garbage

    • Dusty The Lion says:

@Timothy Barr You’re underselling Ster Trek: Beyond a bit. Its a shame that the reboot ended there. Once they got the reboots away from JJ and Roberto Orci (the writer for the first two movies…. and transformers X_X) it really found a new voice that felt like a modern trek that wasn’t relying on quirky TOS sound-effects and call-backs to woo the fans.

  3. John Humphrey says:

I just got chills this is going to be good, SEVEN OF NINE!

  4. CasmX says:

I’d never have believed that Jeri Ryan is 51. She looks absolutely stunning.

    • Timothy Putnam says:

@Scot Coon: Are you talking about the study on rural Kenyan children’s school lunches “in a drought-prone area with serious food shortages” in which the control group without meat supplementation was not provided with a nutritionally adequate diet? Because that’s irrelevant to the consideration of a well-balanced vegan diet.

The reason why registered dietitians and other scientific researchers produce position papers is because it can be difficult for laypeople (and, often, even scientists from other disciplines) to adequately weigh the balance of scientific evidence. It sounds like you might have heard mention of a study without understanding the conditions and limitations of that study nor its place within the field’s broader body of research.

    • Blasphemous Creation says:

Charles Auburn she is not talking like a robot lol. She sounds completely human now.

    • torak31 says:

      Nanomachines, son

    • 1977Melville says:

      Yes, takes care of herself

    • Joe Urata says:

@Avinash Tyagi butterface in her 20s, it was probably your TV

  5. Emm W says:

They’re Saving Q to shock us during the Season. Q always appears suddenly in an episode with no forwarning.

  6. I am Jase says:

DATA and PICARD! Seeing these two together made my eyes tears up.

  7. Kamaro3XVII says:

Out of all the Star Trek series, TNG is one of my all-time favorites. I’m very excited that the show is bringing back the series.

  8. kornfreak78 says:

I seriously just had a fan-boy overload moment just now… I still have chills all over my body right now! I have never wanted to see a show more in my life than I do right now with this one! AHHHH!!! 7 of 9!!! “What the hell are you doing out here, Picard..? Saving the Galaxy?” Then Picard saying “I don’t want the game to end”… AND DATA!!! AHHH!! “I can see that, Captain”. GOOSEBUMPS!!!! I love nostalgia more than any other feeling that we as humans can feel… and this just gave me a massive overload of nostalgia. I NEED THIS SHOW IN MY LIFE!! NOW!!

    • Shawn Conder says:

Just a thought, what if that is Data, not B4. What if it’s a holodeck program that Picard is running to cope with Data’s sacrifice? Maybe B4’s body was damaged beyond repair and Picard had, say Geordi, integrate the memories from Data/B4 into a holodeck simulation of Data?

    • Will Virella says:

@Peter That’s not nice, and disrespectful.

    • Peter says:

      @Will Virella agreed, deleted.

    • Scot Coon says:

It appears they have data’s parts in a drawer.

    • Joshua Williams says:

@Shawn Conder I actually feel that’s the most likely situation, holodeck data.

  9. Steven Harris says:

OMG !!! 7 of 9 and “Data”…… how brilliant of an idea. Welcome back Jeri Ryan, I HOPE she is a main character.

    • Zach J. Payne says:

      Me too!

    • Terra Claiborne says:

Did Brent change his mind? Last I heard, he refused to return.

    • Frank Green says:

@Terra Claiborne I’m thinking that was a secrecy tactic. Money talks and Fandom talks louder. These folks love what they do, at least most of em. So why wouldn’t he keep it a secret. We didn’t know about Jeri Ryan either.

    • Christopher Bolt says:

I want to see the two of them in a room together. One of my favorite moments in all of Trek is that brief conversation between Data and Spock.

  10. Tesla Einstein Space-Time says:

    Picard!! Seven of Nine?! DATA?!!
    * head explodes *

  11. Crystal Dazz says:

    Overwhelming nostalgia.
    Welcome back, Picard. <3

  12. Peanut Turner says:

0:41 Picard goes to find a new bridge crew at the Anaheim Convention Centre…..

  13. Dustin says:

Thst smirk when he said “Engage” was pure fan service and I am here for it.

    • ticoticotock says:

It reminds me of Kirk being asked to give the order for the Enterprise-B to get underway and blurting “take us out” to applause.

    • VidPS says:

Can you imagine how many takes they did to get that? I’m sure he laughed each time before that one.

  14. WileyCoyote69 says:

OK, I was super skeptical, but this actually has successfully engaged my attention. And damn, they kept those two casting spoilers well under wraps.

    • Quackers says:

Quite the opposite, I was super hopeful and this trailer has destroyed that.

For much of the trailer Patrick stuart feels out of place. Like a guest on an episode of star trek discovery rather than being the center of this show. And I HATE star trek discovery. So this feeling like Jean Luc is just an insert to guide their actual protagonist is painful.

    • richard bidinger says:

Ryker and Troy are also in it.

    • icemachine79 says:

I feel less ambivalent about it now. But I’m still worried the action will overshadow the plot and melodrama will reign supreme. I guess we’ll find out.

    • Sir Mount says:

      richard bidinger WE’LL SEE

    • Empressa Komló says:

@Quackers I think that may be part of the point. Like at 1:00 when she says, “sometimes I think you have forgotten who you are”.

  15. Eric Hunsaker says:

Me: Eh, not sure if I’ll watch this one.
    Picard: “Engage”
    Me: Tea, Earl Grey, Hot

  16. Pandoran Bias says:

This man didn’t listen to Kirk, NEVER LET THEM PROMOTE YOU!

  17. USRaider says:

Was that Seven of Nine, Tertiarry Adjunct to Unimatrix Zero-One?

  18. The Pop Culture Cave says:

This looks awesome but i hope for at least one apperance by john de lancie as q

  19. Rajaat99 says:

I’m skeptical. This looks like a cross between Firefly, Star Wars, and Star Trek. I hope all the action was just for the trailer and the show is not action, action, action.

    • Beeznitchio says:

I will admit that I am way more interested after seeing this trailer, but the girl doing karate on the stairs makes me hesitate alot and believe that this may not be for me. In fact the fighting convinced me to probably wait for reviews before subscribing to CBS all access. This really did feel like they borrowed a lot from Firefly.

    • Brandon F says:

I think there will be action, but mostly I think they are going for thought provoking. I don’t think it will be like Discovery, they went way too far with the action there. Patrick Stewart has said he didn’t want it to be “jokey”, so it will diverge from TNG a bit in style but I think they will knock it out of the park.

  20. Corcon says:

“What the hell are you doing out here, Picard? Saving the galaxy?”
    “That. And CBS.”
