I like how this went from “leaked” or “accidentally revealed” to trailer coming soon in a matter of hours…

    • Ryan Czaplinski says:

A “leak” doesn’t exactly mean without intent these days. You use that work and more people want to watch because the perception is they didn’t want you to see it yet.

    • TheMadDocta says:

You know what I would like most for the campaign? Two endings. If you play as the Empire, the Empire wins. Plays as the Rebels, Rebels win.

    • dc chilin says:

TheMadDocta just like injustice 2 with Batman (good) and Superman (evil) endings

    • Michael Bright says:

The power of the people hahaha

  2. Count Dooku says:

It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force… but by our skills with a starfighter.

  3. Marge bouvier Simpson says:

“Civilians are just rebels with no blasters” Random tie pilot

  4. Eric Zambrano says:

*The game got leaked=>EA puts a trailer reveal*
EA: we were in trouble for a second but it’s fine.

  5. Officer Spider says:

I swear if I play as the Empire and my character has a sudden moral dilemma and joins the Rebellion I’ll just give up

    • Battlefield Plays says:

It’s Disney so they probably will cause you can’t play as a character that is “bad”, if he doesn’t turn halfway through the story, he will have a redemption moment in the final act

    • bruhmieter568 says:

@Battlefield Plays its Lucasfilm. Stop using Disney as a buzzword.

    • Boop Boop says:

      @bruhmieter568 Doesn’t Disney own Lucasfilm?

    • Sam James says:

It’s gonna be two characters on either side of the conflict, so don’t worry, you’ll probably get your fill of both Rebels and Empire without any defections going on

    • Ali Imiza says:

@bruhmieter568 and who do you think runs lukesfilms? KK from Disney. Disney is just trash. Disgusting and greedy people.

Original “Tie Fighter” game fans : “I’ve got a bad feeling about this”

    • Kaleb Artise says:

wilhuf tarken it does you can manage the ships systems it says on the website

    • triforce919 says:

I’m a fan of the old series too, but there are some good signs. They have confirmed energy management, as well as HOTAS support. They have officially labeled the game as a simulation. Also, if you pause the video every time you see a cockpit you can clearly see all the old x-wing stuff. Three meters (shield, laser, speed), laser ammo, shield configuration, missile ammo, and more. I really want this to be amazing, but thankfully there are at least some promising signs. Even when the X-wing pushes it to max speed, its essentially the same speed that you can go in the OG x-wing when all power is diverted to engines.

    • triforce919 says:

@Zero Raizer They confirmed you can customize your pilot, I cannot 100% say for certain, but I believe you can make your own pilot into your personal avatar (gender, race, species, etc.). If this is the case, I really feel like this is a win for everyone.

@Zero Raizer you act like that’s the SOLE determinant of a bad game 🙄

  9. Route 77 Productions says:

This made me want a Star Wars: Lost Stars video game adaptation. Considering how both main characters are pilots in that novel.

  10. David Gilroy says:

Crashing Tie Fighter into a blockade runner: FOR THE EMPEROR!

  11. FromHyrule says:

In the comics and legends, the Empire produced some of the best fighter pilots, so hopefully they give them justice!! Also, did anyone notice Wedge Antilles at 1:10?!

  12. KyrusXI says:

When we get actual gameplay I’ll be excited, this trailer tells us nothing about the game aside from what we could already infer from the art we’ve seen

  13. ST4RFISH says:

0:51 Nobody gonna talk about Hera in the background

  14. Benjamin Davis says:

Damn you EA for knowing exactly what I want.

Glory to the Empire, only pansies need shields to fight!

  15. Michael Woodcum says:

Lmao i love how half of us are just like “hold up do we actually get to play as the Empire this time without them turning to the Light Side?”

  16. WarriorofSparta says:

Please please even if your nearly as good as Star Wars: Tie Fighter then I’ll be a happy man!

  17. Matthew Reisiger says:

Dude, if EA gets their shit together with this one and actually releases a finished, polished game, I am SOLD.

    • Davey Jones says:

Dude they really could be getting their shit together. They really did battlefront 2 justice and patched it up, Jedi fallen order was amazing, and this looks promising. WHAT IS HAPPENING

    • Sam James says:

They’ve done it once with Fallen Order, and I think they’ll do it again. I don’t think this’ll be a very big game but I’ve got high hopes anyway

    • Davey Jones says:

Sam James I don’t need it to be a big game. That seems to be a common complaint that I’m seeing and is driving me nuts. If it’s not a huge open world and doesn’t have lightsabers then that somehow means it’s not a worthwhile Star Wars game.

    • Count Of Elysium says:

@Davey Jones Fallen Order was done by Respawn, the most talanted, respectable and consumer oriented studio under EA.
Furthermore Respawn enjoys far more liberty than the other studios. Remember that Visceral was shut down by EA when they tried to make a SW single player game. Respawn was not only allowed to produce one, on top of that they were allowed to not have microtransaction bs in it.
Since Squadrons won’t be made by Respawn you should be wary and wait till the game is out before considering to buy it.

  18. Cameron C says:

Looks good, but knowing it is EA means itll probably be trash.

  19. Nathan Gim says:

1:56 I got chills hearing the empire strikes back asteroid field theme

  20. resisthesucc says:

EA: Star Wars Squadron coming late 2020!

Me: *cries at the fact that we might never see a battlefront 3*

    • Bilbo Beutlin says:

They just finished Battlefront 2, chill man

    • resisthesucc says:

@Bilbo Beutlin I’ve been waiting for a battlefront 3 ever since the original battlefront series was still relevant. Yeah they finished the current battlefront 2, but usually there would be some form of insight if they were planning to make a third one, which unfortunately there isn’t any. So, I am going to kindly refuse your offer to chill until there is confirmation of a third battlefront.
