This is like maybe the best look inside Elon’s world that’s ever been seen. Well done, sir.

I watch new site pictures and vids everyday. I enjoyed watching EM think and sweat.

@matthew What about the things he accomplished. No matter where the money came from. Forget about the money. No person could has accomplished this regardless of money. He came from wealth like every other middle class person. The amount of money he started off with is nothing special for any average person.

  3. Timske says:

To see everything at a scale all close up like this is absolutely incredible, amazing work Tim!!!

  4. MrAndersen says:

“For now, we’re just trying to think about the things that we need to think about” this is a man who is 100% focused on the goal all the time, no distractions.

    • Vincent Velarde says:

@MrAndersen I think are speaking two sides of the same coin.

Its pragmatic that he does not know how things will work out in the end. Its also bad that he doesnt know how things will work out in the end, if infact spending a few days to asses your trajectory you can correct sooner. I am sure he does this.

anywho nothing really to add to this

    • Krossbolt says:

@Vincent Velarde I don’t think you’ve got it. Musk knows his goal – he’s told us multiple times. He’s executed many facets – engine development, site construction, design of the vehicle. There are some things he has ideas on and from his team but without testing and prototypes the immediate path may not be clear until that knowledge gap is crossed. He is super agile and will commit to the technology path when the result is proved successful.

      @Hampus Andersson Fröknegårdskolan H 9C I was his 240th like, which is a 420 permutation.

    • John Bailey says:

      @Gunner Found the stoner lol

    • Vincent Velarde says:

@Krossbolt I suppose I dont like being sold an idea not well though out. This project is not one I have much criticism of, but he has sold up alot of his other ideas that are a little far fetched. Granted, if you make 100 far fetched ideas and 2 or 3 of them work out, it can pay off. It certainly has for elon.

  5. Arioch IV says:

Elon “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” Musk. Literally.

  6. Videos From Elsewhere says:

This was such a power move for Mr. Musk to give real fans that are genuinely interested and knowledgeable such total access to the program progress and to his thoughts on things, instead of allowing any major news or media organization. They would only try to sensationalize or exaggerate anyway. Well done for asking such insightful questions and letting us see everything unfiltered. This is true journalism.

    • Hoshikunai Yada says:

If the mainstream media conducted this interview, the headlines would be: “Elon violating safety regulations by not wearing safety helmet”

    • Jacob Venkatesan says:

@JombieMann “We the interested” I like that.

    • J w L says:

An it’s like billionaire richest guy on planet and man who brought us the best car innovation in decades and then dumpy YouTube video and space suit photo boy Tim

    • Gary Itano says:

Full stack day minus one. Everything going right, …just about. It’s all in the (pains in the neck) details.

Was that day 10 without showering? The Real Iron Man suits up with only a t-shirt.

    • Chuck says:

Exactly. Imagine being in a Tim Cook board meeting?

“How can we do surveillance for the government, without saying we do surveillance for the government?”

“Hmm, obviously some kind of ‘protection’ route…Oh! Protecting them from evil people sharing illegal photos!”

“Uhh…can you not put this in the youtube video?”

  7. gasdive says:

I wish this series was longer. Seriously one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Thankyou so much.

  8. Allen Ash says:

Elon should build me a music studio on mars.

  9. Rinoa's Auspicious Travails says:

These construction guys are the kinds of people who make these mega-projects happen.

    • zach warner says:

      union guy

    • Scroopy Noopers says:

You can really see the passion in their eyes when they talk to him, its awesome.

    • Ollie Luscombe says:

    • tribalypredisposed says:

Has to be a great job for construction people. So many jobs they do they have to deal with some idiot designer or engineer whose ideas are crap or basically unworkable. At SpaceX I guarantee that if they can explain why it is bad and how to fix it they are moving up and the problem will be fixed.

    • Chuck says:

@econojon Exactly. “…people that make these mega-projects happen…”. Yeah, and a quite literally tons of cash. lol

  10. RINGTECH says:

I’m an older guy in his 60’s This video is the most interesting interview series I have ever seen. Elon wants us to grow as a Planetary civilization not a specific country or government. He is a true pioneer and it separates him from everyone trying to compete with him.
