Stonewall Trailer | In Theaters September 25

STONEWALL is a drama about a fictional young man caught up during the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Danny Winters (Jeremy Irvine) is forced to leave behind friends and loved ones when he is kicked out of his parent’s home and flees to New York. Alone in Greenwich Village, homeless and destitute, he befriends a group of street kids who soon introduce him to the local watering hole The Stonewall Inn; however, this shady, mafia-run club is far from a safe-haven. As Danny and his friends experience discrimination, endure atrocities and are repeatedly harassed by the police, we see a rage begin to build. This emotion runs through Danny and the entire community of young gays, lesbians and drag queens who populate the Stonewall Inn and erupts in a storm of anger. With the toss of a single brick, a riot ensues and a crusade for equality is born.

I though this was going to be about Stonewall Jackson. This is moral filth
indoctrinating the youth. God I miss Hitler.

I feel exhausted trying to communicate to friends that LGBT discrimination
is real and that homophobic prejudice and intolerance persists. This film
(whatever the historical inaccuracies) looks like a mainstream release, and
should at least raise awareness over the spirit of defiance and refusal to
be marginalised that lies behind the Pride movement.

Now Pride events are about using LGBTs as consumers of corporate America
that serves the 1%; LGBT mega groups using LGBTS to fund leaders 6 figure
salaries while they do near nothing outside LA, SF, & NYC; and recruiting
for the Democratic Party half of the 2 party system charade that
perpetuates war, poverty, pollution and the eradication of civil
liberties…. Oh and dumbing down LGBTs into alcoholism. Happy Pride!

Besides it being innacurate, there’s something way too wrong here. Gay
marriage has been legalized for what, almost a month? And already a movie?
Movies aren’t made in months. There’s something really suspicious. I’m all
for equality for absolutely everyone, but the way it’s being carried out
isn’t right. My theory, the government is pushing all of this gay marriage
stuff and confederate flag nonsense on us to divide us. They’ve been slowly
taking away our rights and pushing gun control and all of this other shit.
Now we’re divided as a nation over politics and gay marriage and all of
this shit. And if you think Obama has done a good job in taking care of
America you’d be oh so very dead wrong. Obama is merely a mouthpiece for
the government. An act, so to speak. As are all of these other presidential
candidates. The two-party system is not American. George Washington
specifically warned us about political parties. They use bribery to get
people into office. That’s quite illegal yet no one pays any mind to it.
This whole country is fucked if we the people don’t take back America from
our corrupt and evil government. We the People. Remember that in U.S.
History or Civics class? That means the people rule the country, not the
government. America has become a shithole. Only we can bring it out.

go google the 1995 film Stonewall by Nigel Finch. It looks to me that this
film is better than this one.

[sees trailer for “Stonewall”] A film celebrating gay pride based on a key
(if tragic) moment in LGBT history? This could be amazing!

[“From director Roland Emmerich”] … or not
