Strange World | Official Trailer

Explore the adventures beyond our world in the NEW TRAILER for Disney’s #StrangeWorld, in theaters November 23! 🦠

The feature film introduces a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog and a slew of ravenous creatures. “Inspired by classic adventure stories,” said director Don Hall, “‘Strange World’ is an original animated adventure/comedy about three generations of the Clade family who overcome their differences while exploring a strange, wondrous and oftentimes hostile world.”

The voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade, a family man who finds himself out of his element on an unpredictable mission; Dennis Quaid as Searcher’s larger-than-life explorer father, Jaeger; Jaboukie Young-White as Searcher’s 16-year-old son, Ethan, who longs for adventure; Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, an accomplished pilot and Searcher’s partner in all things; and Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal, Avalonia’s fearless leader who spearheads the exploration into the strange world. “Strange World” is helmed by Don Hall (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Raya and the Last Dragon”) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer “Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Tangled”).

Well, Disney, that was very impressive, considering that this would be not only the 61st Walt Disney Animation Studios film ever made but also the very first in an incredibly long time since the legendary house of mouse does an animated sci-fi film since Treasure Planet! And lets hope it is worth the wait too. So yeah, as you could pretty much tell for this movie, and this movie alone, this would have some of the most unique and the most gorgeously affective animation I have ever seen in a very long while, especially when the film itself is showcasing some weird alien-like creatures that would either be used to enchant, to be used a support or to pose as a massive threat and with all the powers, movements, and abilities of which they normally have. As for the design of the human cast, they would pretty much look simplistic enough for it to be a comedy but the movements feel intense enough to be a pretty cool action adventure. Plus, it wouldn’t be a secret that every last character would be highly engaging although, I really do hope that this movie does not have a surprise plot twist villain, because I really hated those with a strong passion! And I hope that the protagonist himself would end up with a love interest, or even a new love interest whether a man or woman, doesn’t matter which. And I hope that his son has a love interest too. And I did see an article that this would be the first to have an LGBT romance so I guess that could happen in this film in any case. And finally, I really do hope that this film will have the best happy ending I will ever see on par with How to train your dragon 3 The Hidden World and Toy Story 4. Also forgive me if I sound like a broken record, I really do hope that this film would follow the exact same path as Moana where it doesn’t have a villain or even a surprise villain in this cause like I said before, I hated those type of tropes with a passion! But seriously, I absolutely adore the path that Disney itself is going on with its recent animated features such as Raya and The Last Dragon and Encanto! I mean don’t get me wrong, I still like Frozen 2 for the groundbreaking sequel as it is, but this film, Strange World is the living proof of how the greatest animation studio would bring their greatest capabilities to the screen! One that is not a sequel to their own films and one that doesn’t have to be a fairy tale or urban legend but would still stand out in its own unique way and its own unique style with a sci-fi action twists in the likes of both Lillo and Stitch and Treasure Planet! As for the musical score, and by the way, yes I did do my research that Henry Jackman is back to doing musical scores no surprises here, I really do hope that it sounds just as nice and as awesomely intense as how both James Newton Howard and John Powell does their musical scores to their movies. And also lets hope that this movie will become a box office success and lets also hope that the critics love it and that it will get 100% at Rotten Tomatoes. Oh and also an Oscar for Best Picture. Overall, Strange World looks like its going to be the best modern animated feature Disney will ever make since both Tangled and Moana and also the greatest of this century next to How to train your dragon 3 hidden world and Toy Story 4! And maybe Frozen 2. It is the return to making original ideas with original concepts and characters since Moana and lets hope that it will be worth the wait after years of going through Disney sequels (especially with Cars 3). And also lets hope that it would have the exact same cute yet fun vibes as both Lillo and Stitch and Turning Red and also the exact same adventurous vibe as both Treasure Planet and Tarzan! Like with Raya and The Last Dragon and Encanto, I am ever so proud of Disney for going on a direction where they could do some original content to their films and I never felt so excited! Ive said it before with Moana and I’ll definitely say it with Strange World, this is definitely Disney’s way of saying…

    I’M BACK BABY!!!!!

I was at D23 when I saw this final trailer and new clip. And I gotta say it sold me more on this movie than the teaser trailer did.
