Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series: 74th Emmy Awards
Sheryl Lee Ralph accepts the Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Abbott Elementary at the 74th Emmy Awards.
So well deserved! This legend is one of the best actors alive. This voice should have many many statues, but I’m glad she has this one finally! CONGRATS QUEEN!!
YESSS!!!! So well deserved!!! Wish I’d seen it live, but so grateful I could view it on YouTube. I’ve been an admirer of Ms. Sheryl Lee Ralph from her Dream Girls years. She is an artist, indeed, who takes her craft very seriously. She ALWAYS represents the culture in a dignified manner. She gives Abbott Elementary that extra “sparkle” that only a seasoned veteran can give. Congratulations, Ms. Ralph!!!
@Brad Paul To you 🤷🏾♀️
The name doesn’t sound familiar.
@Courtney Ward Legendary queen.
Legend! Not queen
She’s been in the industry for over 4 decades and she finally got the recognition she deserves. Bravo.
Yes!
She got a Tony Award for dreamgirls early in her career.
Wait, 4 decades? But I thought she was an endangered species? But not a victim? I mean, the courage it took to be celebrated as usual is truly inspiring.
@Gabe Logan This was actually her first Emmy nomination. She was also nominated for a Tony for Dreamgirls.
She’s been in a business for years I’m glad she finally got her Emmy. I’m 43 years old she’s been doing shows and movies since I was a little kid. Congratulations to her.
Yes indeed.
Singing Out Loud: IT’S AN EMMY!!!!!! (Dennis F, you’re an 80s Baby as me, you know that theme song!! 😉) Well-deserved Sheryl, WELL-DESERVED 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
RIGHT! I swear she ran across my mind while crossing of all places: Hollywood. I side-eyed in my mind how they played Ginger in the finale, having a double wedding w/that dipstick blonde on It’s A Living…
But look at her now…like she just said: what God has for an endangered species, no one can take away. I cried, I’m so happy for her. From Deena in Dreamgirls to Barbara Howard – Woman of God on AE👏🏾👊🏾🤎
Amen to that!
See what happens when you INCLUDE ALL OPTIONS
Right I was just watching the tv show it’s a living the other day. This is well deserved
She is SO deserving of this honor!! She is a true class act, talented, regal and a legend in her own right! I also love that Quinta Brown’s show is getting the recognition that it deserves! This is fabulous. Black Excellence at its best!❤️❤️❤️
Quinta Brunson*
A true queen should be celebrated. Congratulations, Sheryl!

She has one of the prettiest smiles ever.. She deserved that..She’s been in the business for so long..Got ripped off of any royalties from Broadway’s Dreamgirls…❤❤❤❤
@Destini X Shakur
Yep..true story…
Dang fr?
One of the best acceptance speeches of all time.
So well deserved, and she is wearing the living daylights out of that gown. Bravo 💕💕💕
I cried!!!!…..She was PHENOMENAL…..
SO glad to see the ORIGINAL “Dreamgirl” getting her flowers! well deserved and LONG overdue, especially since it’s been 35 years since an African American woman was honored in this category (Jackée Harry won first in 1987 for her role on “227” as Sandra)!
YESSS! THEE ORIGINAL!
thanks for the history!! Very long overdue.
I am crying real tears. Thank YOU Sheryl Lee Ralph!!!!
