Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said fighters were remaining on the capital’s outskirts as negotiations took place.

Ashraf Ghani a puppet government of the US and now that the biden admin has abandoned Kabul, Afghanistan evacuating its foreign embassy staff reminiscent of US scurrilous exit from Saigon Vietnam in 1975 with their tails between their legs… Helicopters ferrying between US embassy and airport…. To exit as cowards in a moments notice… A failed US coup in Afghanistan for over 20 years…

please educate yourself on this situation. let me teach you why they are not fighting. If NATO the world best armies did not won the fight against taliban then what will the afghan army fight for. if Best armies left the country and give up then what the point for afghan army. they have families and they dont want to die for the corrupt government. let the taliban takeover. lets see their government. one more important thing taliban themselves spoke to elder of village to speak to these soldiers that they dont want to shed blood and kill each other for nothing so its taliban themselves wanting peace. overall we do not want civil war and we all know taliban cannot be defeated so until when the army is going to fight them. NATO fought them for 20 years the what happened. so please its better educate yourself when you dont know much about the reasona nd whats really happening.

And among the translators and interpreters that well-meaning people are blindly demanding be given US citizenship without a second thought.
Some are dying to get to conduct attacks, or teach their kids to radicalize & do the same, inside the US if blithely shown in. Literally.
They are failing to understand how complex and difficult the total situation is. They want a feel good solution. Until it blows up in their face.
Apparently the lessons of domestic attacks by transplants just aren’t being learned. Like the Tsarnaev brothers.
