It’s very sad to see a young, innocent life lost because of someone’s carelessness and negligence.
RIP Austin and condolences to his parents.

My heart goes out to the parents from one who lost my son 17 years ago at 21.

  3. Job Armure says:

you fire your gun and you don’t even go to check if you hurt someone, he could saved him. And the worst is the change to 9 days as punishment.
the justice system is a total joke…

    • B.C. says:

That guy is mindless….his “didn’t check the room” where his gun hit, is enough to jail him for atleast 20 years…
.foolishness and wickedness of the highest order…..

    • Buckeyes 86 says:

It was a accident, how could’ve he had known is neighbor was home or get in.

    • Arlene Spencer says:

@Buckeyes 86 the decent & sensible thing to do was at least check considering the bullet went SOMEWHERE.
      Surely .

    • Graphically Deb says:

      It’s Texas.

    • B.C. says:

I would advice the victims parent file a case of “negligence act ” …..that guy is not humane and should be charged for 1st degree murder .. A humane individual would have checked his neighbour”s room, owing to the fact that he has a neighbour..

They lost their son and the other guy just got a slap on the wrist. They literally lock people up longer for drug charges. The system is so freaking pathetic, it makes me sick.

  5. DMD3 says:

The parents composure is amazing because you know they are hurting.

    • Nicole E says:

I swear I thought the same and this just freshly happened! Not like it was decades ago! They need to find person responsible for change of that document so that they face consequences! Very shady….those parents want justice for their son and it shows in their actions, composure and demeanor! They are wise enough to cut out language and to look composed verses not as they are seen to be WAY MORE CREDIBLE! My heart breaks for them. They lost a son to be proud of!

    • Klk Conklk says:

Probably their karma.. Who knows how many people they killed.. It was only a Matter of time It CAME back to them

    • Youtube Channel says:

      Sacrifice

  6. Velicia Williams says:

My deepest condolences to these parents. To see your child flourishing in life and have an individual that was irresponsible about handling a gun.
May they always cherish the wonderful memories of their son.

What a horrible thing to happen to this young man. I’m retired military so I consider him family. There are so many people who just shouldn’t have access to guns.

    • Greg says:

Even in the military, with extensive safety training that includes MORAL RESPONSIBILITY to use guns with only safety and protection in the training, there’s still a small percentage of military who go through training who don’t have the psychological capability to be around guns. Accident or not, the carelessness in cleaning a loaded gun is a MORAL LAPSE in reason. He wasn’t responsible enough to care about the potential damage. He cared more how to convert the semi-automatic gun into fully automatic. He shouldn’t have ever moved beyond squirt guns.

    • Allison Orwell says:

@Greg it is horrific how you can delude yourself that you are safe if you can somehow believe that you are above the insanity that your despotism has made.

  8. Gwen Bae says:

I’m deeply sorry for your loss.’ Very sad people come down to such idiot choices.’ I hope he lives with regret his whole life.’

  9. Henry Santos says:

My deepest condolences to the victims family.🙏.

This literally happened to me about 2 years ago. I was out of town and my boyfriend got home from work to find a bullet had gone through our wall and into our ceiling. It literally would have hit me if I was working from home that day like I had been for the past couple of years. I went to the front office and filed a complaint once I got back. Apparently once they reached out to the person who shot into our apartment, they claimed they were cleaning their gun and accidentally shot a bullet. When I asked why they didn’t report it immediately, they said they went to my door and knocked but no one answered so they left it as is. Like what if no one answered the door because we were dead????? Makes no sense! They got evicted but I still think about it to this day.
