    • michael adams says:

apparently hollywood is already thinking about making a movie..typical hollywood. lol.

    • john balme says:

They will make a film about this rescue, but i bet the hero divers will end up being american and not british, the americans always do this, like the film about capturing the enigma machine, it was the royal navy who did that not the us navy, but in the film it was the yanks.

    • Prodigy says:

john balme its nice to cherrypick specific movies to fit your narrative isnt it? Also hollywood is American and like any country with entertainment media they will skew perception. Dont act like your country or any country for that matter doesnt do it.

    • T Toughtask says:

Pollo Ricardo exactly just down to earth guys with special skill, immense bravery & determination

    • Ross Hoyt says:

not sure what Hollywood has to do with any of this. They make films, they never claimed to be saving kids in caves. The rescuers are the hero’s, end of story.

    • Elena Stone says:

Look at the other way….. there could be enough number of people already that they will only get in the way if more volunteers arrive and also more people to feed in all that.

What a miracle for those children to escape from the jaws of death thanks to Brits, local & international courage & expertise. Now the 13 lives saved have 2nd lives to live. May they all achieve a happy, bright, successful, safe & secure future.

Shalom 1948 hellyeah Your comment about Africans is pretty hateful. Maybe there aren’t a lot of skilled African cave divers because they have had other more basic needs to meet. Someday if we need great distance runners to save us (or other areas where they excel) they may be glad to help, for now some of them are busy earning the money so that their villages can have clinics and their families won’t die, but you just like to cast stones, don’t you?

    • viciovine says:

shalom1948hellyeah thankfully the selection of specialist world leading cave divers that had the required skills for this rescue mission was not based on nationality/race/gender/religion. If African Nations, India or any other country did not have the men/women with the right set of skills than they took the best decision by not “donating” anyone that could have not added value to the mission.

Benne175 , What if the boys felt hungry, desperate, started crying and agitating feeling no hope in sight to come out of the cave? But look at how calm they were sitting there waiting. No one was crying or anything. It was astonishing.

What made them remain peaceful, cheerful and so energetic?

It turned out that Ekapol Chanthawong, the 25-year-old coach of the 12-player Wild Boars soccer team, is a former Buddhist monk. He spent a decade living as a monk and is a practitioner of meditation. It is that skill that has been credited with keeping the boys calm during this ordeal. In fact, when the British divers discovered them after ten days, the group was meditating.

So meditation kept the Thai boys trapped in a cave astonishingly calm.

    • Portugal Forense says:

They are not heroes, they are conmans, CIA assets! It was a false rescue totally staged and backed up by CIA and international intelligence agencies with international media coverage to send a message to Japan and China and to destroy the free-trade agreement between Japan and Thailand in the exploration of Rare Earth Elements in that specific region of that Cave in North Thailand! They want to separate Thailand from Japan because Japan does not want to be part of the Sustainable Criminal and Genocidal Green Agenda 2030, and they want to continue to maintain the Hidrocarbon resources and energy sources to supply the country energetically! This was also a criminal operation with the bombing and extraction of water from that cave, because those types of caves, the karst caves, have Aquifers essential to life! With the destruction of the Aquifers, they destroy the minerals, they kill the microorganisms and all the underground ecossystem essential and vital to life on the surface of earth! That’s what they want!. Life on the surface and outside of the earth are dependent to life on the inside, on the underground! If they destroy the ecossystem on the underground, they destroy the ecossystem on the surface of the earth and life and nature as we know it would be doomed! We and all nature will become dependent on geo-engennering, private water and GMO food! They want to destroy the underground of the earth because the underground is a major part of the hidrological cycle and the only way they can manipulate the weather and the atmosphere with geo-engennering programs, is with the destruction of the underground ecossystem and specifically the aquifers where water combine all the other elements, the minerals and the microorganisms!

I’m impressed that none of these guys seem to particularly like the media coverage of them, personally. They’re quick to give full credit to all the other divers who supported them. (A total of 90, I understand). I do see now that it was a “relay” effort with divers, two by two, handing off the stretchers to the next pair. And, think of all the pairs of divers bringing in and setting up all the air tanks for each day, all along the route. I understand the tanks weigh 40 lbs. each, and it took about 100 of them spread out all along the route, each day. Truly a massive, well-organized rescue effort.

I still feel bad about that one Thai navy seal who died. All knew they were risking their own lives to save the 13, and yet they did it. So many good people around the world.

    • IAN PAYNE says:

Yes I have been to the ones for tourists in 1996 when we went to Thailand, scarey because to enter them you have to lie down they are soooo low, a paradise lost inside though……

Elena Stone Concerning the birthday, people just got wrong information. Please understand that it was the birthday of ANOTHER Boy Who Did Not GO TO THE CAVE. The 12 boys and their coach went to the cave late in the afternoon after practicing football. They just rode their mountain bikes to the cave and planned to spend time there for just an hour for some exercise and then to ride back to the other boy’s house where they would join his birthday party. They definitely didn’t plan to spend the night in the cave. Unfortunately, due to very heavy rain the cave was flooded very quickly and they were forced to run for their lives. That was why we found their slippers and back packs. They had to leave those things behind and they got trapped. So the other boy who was waiting for the team to join him at his house for his birthday party wondered why no one came. Later the parents of the boys informed the head coach about the disappearence of the boys. That’s how it all started.
