The actor who plays Homelander managed to convey his underlying madness in the first few minutes of season 1.
Without knowing anything about the show, when I first saw him I was like, “There’s something wrong with this ‘Superman’ guy.”
It was ever so subtle; in the eyes or something.
THAT’S good acting.

@Waldo He and Ezra Miller need therapy and some time away from fame and film.
$5000 and the guy gets off scot free. Dude is an alcoholic who has hurt someone and he needs help, not adoration. He is a good actor in the show but that does not excuse his actions.
That scene where homelander imagines to kill the crowd with his laser eyes is still my fav scene of this show

@Our Pranks Bro really killed a chick and then saved and drank her breast milk lmaoo. If he had lasered the crowd he woulda been done for in the public eye. I’m assuming something like that will happen in the future with him though.

Antony starr surprising every time with his performance. He should definitely be given an award.

Antony Starr should get all available awards for acting. His portrayal of Homelander is beyond everything. Magnificent!
I’ve seen a lot of villains that people called “scary” but I’ve never been genuinely unnerved through my screen before Homelander. Did you see the ad where he wore a t-shirt? Still terrifying!
Well he might not get any awards now. He is serving 12 months coz of assaulting a Chef (punched him twice, injured him by glass, chef had to get 4 stiches)
I’m so hyped for everything in this trailer, but Soldier Boy sticks out to me. I’m glad they’re not making him like Stormfront, all media savvy and stuff, he seems more like he’ll be out of his time. I really hope he’s a major character this season.
The actor playing Homelander deserves some awards. The entire ensemble give great performances.

The musical choice of The Beach Boys “Heroes and Villains” is absolutely stellar with this trailer!!! This upcoming season is gonna be a wild one!
Basically came to say this. Love The Beach Boys and they have so many songs to tap. But this is one of the best uses I’ve seen.
