The Dirt | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix

Their music made them famous. Their lives made them infamous. Watch #TheDirt on #Netflix March 22, 2019.

Based on Mötley Crüe’s 2001 best-selling autobiography, The Dirt is an unflinching and uncensored story about sex, drugs, rock ‘n roll, fame, and the high price of excess. Director Jeff Tremaine (JACKASS co-creator, BAD GRANDPA) shows us just how Nikki Sixx (Douglas Booth), Mick Mars (Iwan Rheon), Tommy Lee (Colson Baker), and Vince Neil (Daniel Webber) took Mötley Crüe from the Sunset Strip to the world stage, and what it meant to become the world’s most notorious rock band.

To those who are comparing with Bohemian Rhapsody: the book that inspired this film was released in the year 2000. The film was in development for many years and was completed only in 2018. The book is giant. Heavy. Wonderful. Do not talk about things you do not know.

  6. Sugär Cät says:

It will be the craziest and rock’n’roll movie ever!

Dear Netflix, Please drop “[HD]” from your titles. It’s not 2008 anymore. Thanks.

  13. Fernanda C. says:

“Her name was Bullwinkle. We called her that because she had a face like a moose. But Tommy, even though he could get any girl he wanted on the Sunset Strip, would not break up with her. He loved her and wanted to marry her, he kept telling us, because she could spray her cum across the room.”

This is just the first paragraph of the first page of the book 🙂

My dad introduced me to Mötley Crüe last summer, and I became a fan as after we listend to the Shout At The Devil album. After that, I looked up some Mötley Crüe songs and listend to them for hours. Even though I am happy I know about then now, I am also kind of sad because I only found out about the band recently and I can’t really grow up with them like my dad did. I hope this movie is good.

Here’s my advice. Don’t cheapen the experience. Get the complete albums and listen slowly, 1 at a time. Girls Girls Girls was the only, ONLY tape I owned from 87-89… then I got Feelgood. I was in grade 3-5 during that time. Listened to them every night in bed

    • Steve Perkins says:

Ha, don’t worry about it man. I grew up in the Crue’s heyday, saw them live twice in their prime. And sure enough, my friends and I at the time used to talk about how sad we were that we missed Zeppelin fifteen years prior. Just how it goes, music moves pretty fast.

    • Daniel Guerrero says:

Dude don’t worry you’re not alone: I discovered these guys in my senior year in high school 5 years ago…well really I’ve heard of them earlier but I used to criticize them to the max. I was more of a Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica guy and just shit on Mötley Crüe for looking like chicks after seeing a Shout at the Devil shirt in hot topic(back when it was cool) but then years later, I tuned in to vh1 classic(now called mtv classic) Too Young To Fall In Love music video came on and instantly became a fan. My fav Mötley song and probably my favorite #1 80’s metal song of all time! Can’t wait for the movie to drop! ??????

    • Kelly Moler says:

+Daniel Guerrero Good for you man that you realize that faster is not always better. I have seen a lot of bands live but none has even gotten close to the mayhem these 4 guys put on. No one does it louder, crazier, rowdier and more bombastic than the Crue! welcome aboard!

  16. Vader 97 says:

I hope Bullwinkle made the cut!!!

    • Paul Secon says:

Vader 97 It’d be an extreme let down if not.

    • DuckTalesWooHoo1987 says:

I saw the other day where someone got to see the list of credits of everyone in the film and they said it stops basically at Dr. Feelgood and doesn’t go past that. It’s basically just about the original 4 guys and that’s it.

    • cruedtunes says:

It shows vinces daughter, which was 4 years after Feelgood. I think it goes through the 90’s.

  17. Justice Productions says:

Yes!!!! We need more movies like this and this stye and music needs to return!!! Rock on and Metal Forever!!!

  18. Carter Hayes says:

Everyone should read the book ‘The Dirt’ even if you don’t know anything about the band or music. The amazing stories on the road, the drugs, the sex, the dysfunction and chaos. A fun read.

    • The Great Russello says:

      +country city what?

    • Paul Secon says:

Carter Hayes I AGREE 1,000 FUCKIN %!!! They’ll NEVER do the book justice. And if they do??? Then I’LL snort a line of ants in public. Netflix should have enough salt by now, and also be smart enough to have made it into like a 12 part mini series in order to do it any kind of justice. How will they fit 38 years in the public eye into a 2-2 1/2 hour film?? We’ll see.

    • Paul Secon says:

H LL Go to the library add get it Dude. Very Well Written!!! I remember every single story like it’s fucking yesterday!!!,from being an “Uber Fan” and being a news junkie. Great friggin read!!!

    • E W says:

Brady DeAngelo it’s so funny lmao, she literally just talked about her hatred for people rather than the content of the book

    • shane vandagriff says:

I have read it five times. Can not wait for this movie.

  19. Hitithardify says:

If you haven’t read the book, then you need to. I’ve never read something so fast.

  20. Mötley Crüe says:

We can’t wait for you guys to see this! ???
