We’re taking a little break from the Key of Awesome. This is not a joke, but this is a funny video that you should watch. We love you all, and we thank you for your continued support since 2007! “And in case we don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!”

I’ve probably been following this channel for about 8 years. You were one of the first subscriptions I made on youtube. Thanks a lot for making me laugh so consistently through all these years. Mark, you’ll be missed! But you’ll be back with even greater things!

We could never be mad at you. And I was only teasing when I said your hair was more grey. ❀

What’s next for Marky Mark? Broadway musicals? TV Jingles? Film? Stand up? Definitely professional napper.

You were the first channel I ever subscribed to. While this is sad news for those of us that always looked forward to your videos, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. One question though… can I keep Reggae Shark? πŸ˜‰

  12. Tim Terrell says:

Even your goodbye video is Awesome.

  13. FutureEpicness says:

This actually got me pretty sad. KOA has been with me through all the weird teen years and this is sort of weird seeing it go. But thanks for everything. Good shit!

  14. ZoΓ« Crichton says:

A small part of me just died inside I’ve been watching KOA for almost as long as I’ve had a YouTube account. But I’m glad youre doing what you need to do for you. We love you Mark, good luck in your new venture whatever it is ❀

  15. John Smith says:

It marks an end of an era. Over the years, Barely Political/Barely Productions/The Key of Awesome produced many awesome parodies and songs. Some of my favourites include the parodies of Dark Horse, What Makes You Beautiful, Tik Tok and Shake it Off. It feels like YouTube’s golden era is drawing to a close.

  16. Erica Quint says:

KOA has been a huge mainstay in my life for the past eight years. I’m really going to miss you guys, but I understand the need for a break.

  17. Alexis Whitley says:

I was hoping this was clickbait 😭😭😭😩πŸ˜ͺ

  18. Esostrefis says:

First Filthy Frank and now this. YouTube is now nothing but a blank hole with people like Paul brother and cancerous Vine comedians.
PS – never gonna unsubscribe. This channel is like a diamond in the rough.

  19. Leena says:

From my own selfish reasons I’m sorry to hear this, since you guys were one of the first YT channels I subscribed ages ago, and unlike many other parody song channels, your songs were always musically excellent and smart and funny, instead of just making fun of the originals. But making art is something you can’t force, and things change, and YT definately has changed from it’s early days, and I can imagine the fun has turned into stress, competition and burden. I’ll watch the old videos, but if you ever feel like coming back – even just to hold a cute puppy – I’ll gladly welcome whatever you come up with. πŸ’Ÿ

This is where the real men cry.
