Koreans are like that. Most Korean movie stars, singers, artists are like that. 😀

@M K Humble ? I hate to break it up to you but Koreans has high racist records and bullying cases. People even afraid to get judged and called “ugly” because of their physical appearance that’s why plastic surgery is a must. There are numbers of k-idols and actors who committed suicide during their careers. You should at least know that.

Korean actors: humble and sits still

Lee Jungjae, the main character in squid game, is one of the most well known and beloved top actors in Korea. He’s been in the industry over 35 years. He played this below average loser character for the first time in squid game, but he normally plays a very charming, charismatic, or evil character in movies. I was actually quite shocked to see him playing such a loser character in.squid game because I was only used to seeing him playing strong, charismatic characters in movies. He did an amazing job though

  5. Jannabity says:

The world loves Squid Game not just because of the survival game. It reflects our deepest desire, sins, and hopes.

  6. Jessie Dosejo says:

Lee Jung Jae is so charismatic and an excellent actor. I recommend his “Deliver Us From Evil” movie, one of the best!

    • lulu says:

Yeah in our elementary textbook, she is the female character who follows school rules very well, well behave, clean up classroom, water flower plants, do the homeworks and stuff. Also the green costume is a very common korean middle school uniform for the gym class. It reminds us very oppressive mass training and competitions but now the world likes it, I feel weird 🙂

    • JcucumberA says:

yeah she and the boy (chulsoo) is now a loved meme

The reason behind their continuing successes isn’t just their production skills, Korean culture has good virtues that the globe can share all together.

    • aes says:

      welcome to korea 🇰🇷

    • MintyFresh says:

It’s not the “good virtues”, it’s the virtues themselves that are relatable. It’s not like we don’t have them in our own countries; it’s just well portrayed in Squid Game that we ourselves can get absorbed into it.

  9. Ryan Uys says:

It’s cool seeing the Korean actors on American talk shows, South Korea has been producing some quality films for a while

    • 「Zebra Karma!」 says:

      I love k-dramas and k-series!

    • Diego Jimenez says:

Agreed! South Korean media is really under rated! I think they produce some of the best films and music in the world at the moment

    • Wilson marth says:

Quality in film is usual thing but what make korea so stand out in drama and acting was that korea born with acting skill which is unbelievable incredible. They scream, they launge and cry are almost real to me. They are not feel awkward when they do all these scene which give me goosebumps. What you guys think about korea acting skill? Have you ever see these kind of acting in this world?

    • atluvedison says:

And to be fair, this isn’t even the best one out there.

    • gynjimin _ says:

South Korea had always good films and dramas YALL just haven’t realized it until squid game came out.
