Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I’m your host Paul and the sun shines on us again brother as the first trailer for Thor Love And Thunder is now here.
It’s time to Ragnarok and roll so follow us as we go through everything you need to know about the movie, the easter eggs, hidden details and things you missed.
Full spoilers ahead for what happens in the comics and whilst Marvel never completely adapt storylines, I’m gonna tell you to p**s off ghost if you don’t want things ruined. Little rock paper scissors joke there so with that out the way, thanks for clicking this, now let’s get into Thor Love And Thunder.
Now the trailer very much opens with a montage and Thor talking about how much his hands are now used for peace.
There’s very much an 80s training vibe to ity in the same vein of rocky and this whole movie seems to be paying tribue to the decade.
He starts off by running and we watch as through the magic of montage how he ages up. This includes his classic costume which looks amazing and we catch him meditating on a planet with what I believe has 3 suns, two moons and a saturn like one.
Thor trains away using chains instead of ropes and on his hat we can actually catch the classic Avengers Logo with the writing strongest over the top. This is of course a nod to Ragnarok when he called himself that.
Now Thor looks like he’s very much been on a wellness retreat and the guy has lost all the dead weight like Screen Crush when they let Ryan Arey go and allow Doug to run the channel. Getting a lot of Hippy vibes from this and we also see Stormbreaker planted in the ground. The handle for the axe of course came from Groots arm and we see it in the ground growing roots, showing how long that Thor has been there for.
The guardians show up and alongside them are some blue alience creatures. These are potentially the interdites who have been touched upon in the marvel expanded universe.
They were first mentioned by Lady Sif in the Agents Of Shield episode and we do know that Jamie Alexander will be playing her once more in the movie.

People always forget that Chris Hemsworth as Thor is one of the best castings of all time! Cannot wait to see the movie!

@superblahmanofdoom I know, but he trained a lot for the role. He wanted to look bigger than ever before, so he worked out more than he ever has
@Jesse Collins I would say for a woman of her size(she doesn’t have very wide shoulders and is pretty short) she’s pretty darn buff. I mean, her arms are almost double the width of mine🤣. And it’s more difficult to put on a lot of muscle for women, so she’s pretty buff, at least for a women(not being demeaning or sexist by saying that lol, it’s just near impossible for females to get and maintain a physique like Hemsworth’s, without using dangerous levels of testosterone)
@superblahmanofdoom nobody ever claimed he lost his muscle or put on a lot of body fat for avengers endgame lol everybody knows that. And yes Chris Hemsworth was absolutely not above. Not only was he not buff as a baby or a young adult, he wasn’t even close to barf when he was acting. Are used to be very very small. Are used to be a lot smaller than me. Now he’s like 10 times bigger than I am. But he’s always been buff since he’s been playing the character Thor.
@Fork I don’t know but it’s the stupidest thing in the world and people call her the king. It really makes me think people are ret@rded. She’s a female. She would be the queen. Even if she got married to a man and there was a king she could still be in charge because that may be out there monarchy works. May not have anything to do with gender/sex. Even if someone describe to transgender radiology and she identified as a man, which would be really stupid to put in a Marvel movie, at least a good marvel movie, save that for crappy captain marvel films, that’s not what she’s actually doing so why do people call her the king? I think they just probably picked a suit does she look good in. The suits are dark anyways. I think just because she wore a dark suit in another movie that’s known for wearing dark suits, I don’t think it’s necessarily a reference. Maybe though! Good call if you are right

In a blink and you’ll miss it part of the new trailer, right as Thor reacts to Jane catching Mjolnir we see a battle taking place behind the former in what looks to be New Asgard. It’s hard to see but it looks like the Asgardians are fighting Gorr’s Black Berserkers.

I loved Gorr’s design, there’s never enough Christian Bale. Besides, if he keeps transforming, it would be cool, but if it doesn’t happen, I don’t really care.

Them using Sweet Child of Mine got me *immediately* misty-eyes, and I was gobsmacked hearing it used for the trailer. It’s an important song to me because it was also important to my sister when our mom sang it to us growing up. She then sang it to her son while raising him, and I lost them both within the last 3 years.
I know that whenever a new trailer for a show/movie comes out…I can come to this channel within an hour or 2 and you’ll already have a badass breakdown…appreciate you!

My theory going from this trailer, Thor “finding himself” leads to him burying Stormbreaker and Beta Ray Bill bringing it back before he joins the group. Meaning the weird gap to Thor’s right on that one scene in the trailer is actually him edited out. Also Thor planting Stormbreaker might be the movie version of Thor giving up the hammer post God Butcher in the comics, which leads to it calling for and ending up with Jane Foster.
