@A Bean ok so there’s no point in tipping because it’s not the publics job to pay you for your work. It’s your employers job to pay you enough to meet livings need. This is why there’s no such thing as “tipping” in Europe
@A Bean useless and unnecessary, as I stated that’s something your wired country does. We don’t do that here cause we actually pay our employees well. Fix your broken system
@Jax No on really tips in fast food places in the US either. It’s usually not even allowed. But generally, Canadian tipping culture is almost identical to the US
@Shaun Duz Stuffs Depends on the situation. Understand, in a restaurant the wait staff is often paid $2.50/hr. Literally. There are exceptions to the minimum wage law carved out just for positions like that. So if you don’t tip, you very truly are screwing these people badly. But fast food workers are not in what the govt considers a typically tipped job, so they have to be paid minimum wage. Failing to tip for your Big Mac is pretty much normal, and many fast food places flatly prohibit the presence of a tip jar on the counter.
@Bob Milleit you don’t “absolutely have to tip” that’s a load of bs. America is just a weird country that doesn’t pay their employees enough. In Europe we don’t tip for anything
We’re no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment’s what I’m thinking of
You wouldn’t get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We’ve known each other for so long
Your heart’s been aching, but
You’re too shy to say it
Inside, we both know what’s been going on
We know the game and we’re gonna play it
And if you ask me how I’m feeling
Don’t tell me you’re too blind to see
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Honestly getting a tip is a blessing, I got my first ever tip ($1) while bussing for the Pizza Pasta Buffet at Legoland California and yeah, it’s honestly a good feeling to have because it’s like an extra thank you for doing what you do/you’re doing great keep it up
That’s not a “tip”. That’s a “throwing away the trash penny”.
I did once try to give a fast food worker a legitimate tip and she flat refused it. I had a gift card from some random rebate and after paying for my $8 meal it had like $4 left on it. I told her she could have the card and either ring up just a tip of $3.96 or use it in a partial transaction. She said no. Did I do bad? I’ve done that 5 times before and they always say “thank you” with a legitimate “that’s a pretty nice tip” kinda light in their eyes. This girl…she seemed to think I was setting her up for some nefarious scheme.
I appreciate when customers leave their small change with us. We don’t get tips where I work, but we keep extra change by the register and we use them for anyone whose a lil short and it feels nice to be able to pass on the kindness
As a person from a minimal-tipping country, I am so glad for the minimum wage…
@A Bean ok so there’s no point in tipping because it’s not the publics job to pay you for your work. It’s your employers job to pay you enough to meet livings need. This is why there’s no such thing as “tipping” in Europe
@Gunzavage Tipping rewards good servers for their good service. The employees make a living wage regardless but the good ones make some extra money.
@A Bean useless and unnecessary, as I stated that’s something your wired country does. We don’t do that here cause we actually pay our employees well. Fix your broken system
@Gunzavage We pay our employees well and reward them for good service, you’re creating a false dichotomy.
@Gunzavage what country are you from anyway?
“I took the tip jar and I threw it at his head”
Me: yea, he deserved it
Mayo: Nah, I’m just joking
Me: …………
@jacksepticye deserved it weirdo behavior.
@jacksepticye deserved it Millard*
@osdude ITA MILLARD OR MAYO CHOOSE 1
WTH IS MILAD?!?
Millustard makes great jokes
Having to tip everyone in the US gave me anxiety, people should just pay their employees enough
You pay for the tips in increased food prices, and the server gets less because the hourly income is taxed. So it’s a lose-lose
@Jax No on really tips in fast food places in the US either. It’s usually not even allowed. But generally, Canadian tipping culture is almost identical to the US
This is so damn true.
@Yes what did they say…
So glad I’m not in the US
As a European that’s probably something I’ll do by accident while visiting the US, since here food workers are paid normally, we don’t need to tip.
@Dillon Good I’ll tip if I feel as if they gave me quality service, I’m not tipping because they rely on tips to survive
@Shaun Duz Stuffs well that’s certainly your choice
@Shaun Duz Stuffs Depends on the situation. Understand, in a restaurant the wait staff is often paid $2.50/hr. Literally. @FroToe I think he understands this, he’s just a cheap bastard who doesn’t care about others

That’s a refreshing mindset…. sadly it seems only the US mostly has this expected tipping mindset
That’s not a “tip”. That’s a “throwing away the trash penny”.

In the Netherlands we round it off every time, it’s an actual rule. We don’t get single cents back we’re just charged that extra cent
I appreciate when customers leave their small change with us. We don’t get tips where I work, but we keep extra change by the register and we use them for anyone whose a lil short and it feels nice to be able to pass on the kindness
You’re a really cool individual for doing that, have a kick ass day April!
@Harry S. Same to you Harry!
Milard probably has made thousands of sandwiches and has gotten a one cent tip, it really adds up
