This is another “either you love it or hate it” one. I think it’s really well done. Tom Hanks is clearly gonna be amazing.

As a kid, I grew up watching the original animated version. But seeing both trailers for the live action remake of this iconic classic makes me look forward to seeing this even more.

The CGI on Pinocchio actually doesn’t look bad it looks very well done. I expected it to look weird but he looks very animated still but obviously more realistic.

  4. Isthmoid says:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is probably the perfect voice for Jiminy Cricket. It’s such a soft and cheery voice and I love it.

    • GreatBeast455 says:

I agree, he’s way better in the part than I was expecting.

    • Chris Carpenter says:

I didn’t even recognize his voice. He does a good job of channeling Cliff Edwards.

    • 1992disney says:

@Chris Carpenter Glad that it’s ruined with an inferior and insulting remake? That’s insane! And that still doesn’t justify the remake’s existence. Why can’t Disney just focus on producing new and original content and stop remaking their animated classics?

    • Chris Carpenter says:

@1992disney Isthmoid never used the word “needed”, just glad about it. It’s one of my personal favorites, I’ll tell you that. And IF there’s anything wrong with the original animated version it’s that it’s, well, animated. This way there’s more variety.

    • 1992disney says:

@Isthmoid What was wrong with the original animated version? Why do you believe that it “needed” to be remade in the first place? And of course people like you are excited about this all because of the fact that it exists and it’s from Disney.

3 Pinocchio movies in 1 year?? we are living in the pinocchio verse

  6. KnowledgeGatherer DraftSaver says:

Looking incredible and so much like the original animated classic. Tom Hanks is by far I think the best casting choice for Gepetto.
Can’t wait to see how incredible the film and all the actors is!

  7. Planet Jayster says:

I’ve seen Pinocchio WAY more times than I can count growing up, and honestly, I REALLY HOPE that they can pull this live action remake off! I’ll admit that this trailer DOES shows a LOT of promise with its decent CGI on Pinocchio AND the looks of the settings and set pieces, and… I’m not gonna lie, part of me is actually REALLY INTERESTED in what they’ll do with this remake!

Pinocchio is one of my favourite movies of ALL TIME, and again, I REALLY HOPE they can pull this live action remake off! Good luck, Disney!

There’s a Netflix one also coming very soon by Guillermo del Toro and it’s stop motion with Ewan McGregor, check that one out too

  8. David Emanuel Rosini says:

To be fair, this live action remake actually looks pretty decent then some of the previous remakes like The Lion King and Dumbo. I’m actually hyped to see it when it comes out on Disney+! 🙂

  9. Tony Mata says:

I love how they made Pinocchio very accurate to his animated counterpart, while at the same time adding realistic textures on his wooden body and clothing.

  10. Carmen Caldwell says:

I have to say, this looks so good. I grew up watching the original Disney classic, never did I imagine getting so excited for a remake of it
