U Know What’s Up (From Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red)

Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins “Turning Red” is streaming exclusively on Disney+ now.

If 4*Town was actually an irl band. We would be listening to this all night because of how catchy their music are. The confidence booster music, Romance music and the Main music everyone loves. Disney will always have the best songs

This might be a small detail but I like how they include the boys in scenes of students going crazy over how adorable the red panda is.

  6. A. C. says:

I love this part of the movie so much, when Abby doesn’t let Tyler buy their stuff is just lol 😂💕. Glad they became friends by the end.
Also, I know some people think Mei is being spoiled when she gets angry at her mother for not letting her go to the concert (and of course that includes not buying the $200 ticket). But I don’t see it like that. Instead of being just angry at their parents these girls had initiative, I mean they looked for ways to earn money with their effort, and even if it all started with Mei just showing her panda, then they also created merchandise and stuff. So I think it’s awesome that kids show this kind of decisiveness.

@Aнтония Стойнова ah, I’m a lot older now and still want a dog. even made a promise to pay half.

    • Kimberly Nguyen says:

I agree it isn’t spoiled, it’s more of trying to avoid anymore well embarrassment and disappointment from a parent. Like I have that type of parent where they love you too much, and it causes more harm then good. Which leads to resentment especially if you don’t listen to your opinions of your child and try to understand them. Although I do understand kings perspective as well cause she worked real hard to be well “perfect” but it just hurt her in the end. (Honestly I’m sure people who live an asian family would understand this full on!)

@SparrowIZ So do you in that case

    • Aнтония Стойнова says:

I would have also been pissed if mom hadn’t let me get a dog back in 4th grade – I had not only finished the year with straight As but also saved up the 150 bucks for the dog. Good thing she didn’t and now poochie is 11 y/o going to be 12.

    • SparrowIZ says:

You have such a bad taste in music.

  7. Quinn Kinsella says:

This movie is EVERYTHING. Mei is like the best character ever and I’ve had the 4⭐️Town songs on repeat!

  8. Asuma Mutsumi says:

Thank you Pixar for such a relatable, wholesome, fun movie. Everyone needs to watch Turning Red! And of course, these songs are so catchy and nostalgic! I’m officially a 4*Townie lol

  9. TheJaviezz says:

No entiendo porque a algunas personas no les gustara esta película, a mi me encanto todo Bv

  10. Gavin YAO [07F] says:

Turning Red is just an amazing movie with 4Town making such amazing songs, behind the scenes must be proud, they should deserve credit.
