This could be a noob question here, I’ve understood the USB TYPE C stuff.
But will I have to buy an adapter day 1 to transfer data from
    pendrive/hardisk

Does the charger support USB type c which comes with the box ( I’m sure it
would ) just curious to know.

Great video and thanks for explaining.
    It helps

    $79 for a USB adapter… Oh, apple :D

  3. Raditram says:

You know the rules for apple products, don’t ever buy the first gen
product, when you know the next one is twice as powerful and $200 cheaper

Very eloquently well put… This is what i like to see…

  5. Wajd Tohme says:

  6. GCyclone says:

Holy Jebus, $79 for an adapter!? Fuck apple.

  7. Karol Karpiński says:

Sounds a lot like the revelations about USB ports. Sure, on paper, this is
the revolution to actually unify all the ports but for this to be a
standart *all* manufactures also those Singapore/PRC would have to change
and I don’t see companies like Sansa to suddenly change their usb Mini-B or
whatever they’re using as a basic these days.
If all the companies agree and the market will slow down a bit & the
nowadays technology breaks then in 5-10 years USB-C would be a standart but
that’s very unlikely and every one who pays a bit of attention to the
history of electronics knows this is quite impossible.

  9. Aminur Rashid says:

so, the 3.5 mm jack on the new mackbook is still irreplaceable, or apple
just forgot to remove that port too?

  12. Scellow Dev says:

Do you sell your old macbook ?

  13. René Dijkema says:

    Disappointing Marques:
USB-C is *only* the connector itself, *not* the protocol or interface. We
can have USB3.0 with a Type-C connector *or* USB3.1 with a traditional USB
    Type A connector.

USB3.1 *only* says something about the bandwidth & power throughput, not
    the connector.

  15. Danny Viana Correo personal says:

this means that manufacturers like Samsung does not have its own port to
charge your phone? Yeah Right! :|

  16. Daniel Jensen says:

What do you mean with USB type-C being backwards compatible? As far as I
know it won’t work in current USB 2 and USB 3 ports.
