    this is a masterpiece

  3. Forever says:

The fact that he decided not to use the studio recording makes this feel so much more powerful. It feels more like a play than a song

  4. Ted Winn says:

Kendrick’s level of artistry and storytelling is riveting and beautiful. He’s one of the most inspirational figures in the music industry. The song was SOO powerful lyrically we could imagine the visual, but this video takes the stimulation to the next level. KUDOS!!

  5. YoFonzz says:

I was there, 5 years ago. Thankfully we elevated out that. Wasn’t easy, had to unlearn a lot and learn even more. As a man speaking to other men, we gotta do better than this. We gotta fix ourselves or else we’ll stay getting into broken situations. We gotta be in constant elevation. Peace!

    • Ebonie Duniver says:

Thank god u learned and fixed it! It’s so rare that men change especially when they have a woman that’s good to them! One that’s not in the streets n nobody knows her that’s not enough

One awesome detail here is the name Dante S. this has to be a reference to the character Dante from the bonus track on GKMC: Collect Calls, where the speaker named Dante begs his Mum for help while awaiting trial. I’d assume the S. is for Dante Senior, so this character is Dante’s father who has left his mother to look after the son and is now here with a new partner arguing. Its really interesting to see Kendrick creating his own Kendrick lore which spans across each album through small inclusions in even bonus content like this!

  9. Jae B says:

This goes to show you we gotta do better far as communication… Pictures exactly the same when I listened to it when it dropped. This is heavy.. WE GOTTA DO BETTER TALKING TO OUR PEOPLE!
