Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

I will never get over how visually pleasing Isabela’s scenes in the movie are, even after she’s broken out of her “perfection” 🌸
@ᙏɾ Uടടყ ಠ ͜ ಠ mmm.. so odd since this movie is Directed to KIDS! Either way love or hate this movie got a reaction from you and towards everyone else

Saying “We don’t talk about Bruno” and then proceeding to sing an entire song about Bruno is honestly the most Disney thing in this movie.
@neRGB The song was meant to be saying he’s bi or something (I’ll show you how i swing)is kinda a saying on who you go, you know?

*Literally*
So many details. Bruno being in the background of Dolores part, the way the crowd reacts to weather in the beginning, all of Mirabel’s reactions as they sing…Definitely my favorite song in the movie
there were so many wonderful details in the whole movie!!! i love that all of pepa’s side of the family wears yellow. My personal theory has been, since her weather power is based off her mood, and since yellow is the happiest color, they are probably all wearing yellow to keep her cheery.
or that pepa’s makeup always looks a little bit smudged, and it’s probably due to the little drizzles throughout the day!
also the foreshadowing for several of the characters, and Dolores saying she can hear him
@shark Tenko you can also see he has the bucket on
one detail i really like about Dolore’s part is that since she can hear everything— you’re hearing from her POV: the swooshing, each step they take, it’s cool
or maybe that’s just me
Actually the sound effects in the YouTube version of the song have been made much louder than the actual movie for some reason
I love how Mirabel’s dad just walks in dancing. He’s not even a part of the song, he’s just vibing to the beat lol.
Here in Colombia many people joke about it and blame the fact that he looks like a Bogota native (while other members of the family look more Caleños, Paisas or Costeños) because here we have the stereotype that Bogotanos has no rhythm compared to the inhabitants of other regions.
he must be used to it by now
*Mirabel’s mom making arepas in the kitchen next door*
“Ayyyy, they’re all singing AGAIN?!”
I saw Bruno dancing as well 💀
I know everyone’s talking about how lovely Dolores and Camilo’s singing voices are (and they’re both really good don’t get me wrong), but is nobody gonna talk about *Isabela’s* smooth vocals?
Right, I think her part is my fav
Thats my fav part
yesssssssss
Honestly, this is one of the best songs in the entirety of Disney. The way that each scene usually correlates with the person who’s singing it, how it introduces Bruno in a perspective of the family, and just.. how it all adds up at the end. This is purely the genius of Lin-Manuel Miranda.
and that one you didn’t hear in Latin and Japanese
I like how this is technically the other side of the family’s song. Since most of the movie is based off Mirabel’s side, this allows for her cousins, aunt, and uncle to shine with the vocals…which is nice.
Exactly! That’s what I thought. And they get this absolute banger!
It also makes sense because they’re the side of the family who’s more likely to gossip and entertain/they’re more extroverted and dramatic.
It’s a villain song, but instead of it being sung by the villain, it’s sung by everyone else about why they think he’s a villain. So unique and I love it!!
I love that every time the family is singing to Mirabel she just starts doing little dance moves, like her body just can’t help but to dance along. the little touches in the animation are perfect throughout the whole movie
