This is a perfect example of how you do a teaser trailer. You’re not getting a synopsis or plot of the the entire series, but it perfectly gives you a setting and a vibe. That’s a teaser!!!

    • Sir Arnie says:

I’d argue it does give the whole synopsis. It will basically be another CW/Sabrina/Riverdale dark high school teenager mystery series. Very run-of-the-mill stuff.

The only reason it seems that way is because it’s along the lines of the horror genre. It’s a lot easier to get the spooky point across unlike a more wholesome show.

    • Seabreeze says:

On the same mindset. It’s a heck of a lot better than a dishonest trailer! I seriously dislike trailers that play up portions of the show/movie that aren’t important. So you watch them thinking it’s about something else. Though Wednesday has the added remake it gets to stand on.

      WHAT? Wednesday is not even a trаnsgеndеr-asian-afro-american? I’M OFFENDED!!11

    • Lincoln Fultz says:

What are you talking about? 😅 This was exactly a synopsis. Wednesday doesn’t fit in so she goes to a school more suited for her. That’s the synopsis. Lol

I truly love Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton, but I feel like no one’s giving Alfred Gough & Miles Millar enough credit than they deserve. Yes, they’re mostly famous for creating ‘Smallville’, ‘Into the Badlands’ and ‘The Shannara Chronicles’, but they helped write the show. Such a shame how underrated they really are as show creators.

    • Kenrick Bautista says:

@milkflavoured same. I blame AMC for choosing ‘The Walking Dead’ over that. The show itself could have ran for two more seasons, but I guess ratings weren’t strong enough to let it live.

    • milkflavoured says:

I loved into the badlands – I was bummed when it was canceled

@Et Cogito Ergo Sum Smallville had some amazing story arcs in S1-5. Not to mention a charming cast.

    • Kat A. says:

@Et Cogito Ergo Sum Smallville was a great show and it’s a series that many other shows took inspiration from, like Merlin.

    • Kenrick Bautista says:

@Et Cogito Ergo Sum yeah, I’ll admit: it didn’t seem at all that engaging.

As a life long fan of everything Addams Family and a huge fan of Tim I can only say I have very big hopes for this

  4. K Scott says:

I did not know where they were going to go with this but it looks really good. I can’t wait. Jenna Ortega has really been moving up.

  5. Kristinarocks615 says:

I like part when she said ” I do like stabbing”. love this so much and can’t wait to see it. I’m glad that Jenna is playing Wednesday cause that is a perfect for her.
    I love Wednesday.

@Saery I get that this appeals to people who fantasize about murdering jocks or whatever, but telling a story where there’s no consequences for your actions is just lazy storytelling.

It’s very pretty to look at though and I like the cast.

I’ll turn my brain off and try to enjoy it.

    • Cameron Stewart says:

@Saery not really, no. Are they immortal or something?

The point is these characters apparently live in a world full of weak and dumb people. Would be way more interesting if it showed people who actually have a will to fight back.

    • Saery says:

@Cameron Stewartexcept you wouldn’t be able to get revenge. You do know who the Addam’s family is right?💀

    • Cameron Stewart says:

If that was my brother, cousin, friend or whatever that got attacked by piranha, I would be seeking cold blooded revenge on Wednesday and her family.

They better show her family getting sued into the dirt or someone coming for retribution.

Why does she get to act vengeful but the world can’t touch her?

  6. Wez says:

If they don’t release this on Wednesdays they’ve missed a trick.

  7. W MontierIV says:

Hey Netflix. This is how you make a show. I could be mistaken when it finally comes out but based off of this trailer I am actually excited.

  8. Leeanne H says:

This actually looks so good! She fits the character of Wednesday perfectly. She also played a brilliant character in the second series of You on Netflix.

    • Christine C. says:

Yeah, no. Only Christina Ricci is Wednesday.

    • Ariana Bustamante says:

She was also in recent slasher film X! She’s great

    • Thato Mogato says:

Why you gotta lie please re-watch the Adams family again then watch this please…… the girl is not giving this character what it supposed to give

    • Diasmc Coelho says:

She was amazing in “You”! I started loving her since there, she is so talented! I’m happy she is getting more and more roles. She deserves it. ❤️

    • Leeanne H says:

@Devt I loved her character. Jenna Ortega is a fantastic young actress with a definite bright future ahead of her. I wasn’t sure how I’d take to new characters in You, but she was fantastic and she has the mannerisms and character of Wednesday done right. Looking forward to giving this a watch.

  9. MrX13 says:

This actually looks really good! I’ll be watching this for sure.

I really hope that Ricci shows up as an adult Wednesday! That would be badass and throwback to her a Wednesday in the previous movies!

  10. Jonathan Baldridge says:

Christina Ricci is still my fave Wednesday ever. This girl doesn’t seem too bad.
