What Happens To NYC’s 3.2 Million Tons Of Trash | Big Business

New York City is one of the most wasteful cities in the world. But none of its trash is actually processed in NYC. It’s sent to waste-to-energy facilities and landfills as far away as Ohio and South Carolina. It takes a vast network of sanitation workers, trucks, trains, cranes, and barges — and $429 million a year — to get it there.

@hitnail halfway but Bangladesh is an economic giant and military superpower, we cannot compare India to a powerful nation like Bangladesh. Myanmar is sending back thousands of Bangladeshi expats because it is very difficult for it to maintain such high profile expats. Many Bangladeshi expats can be found in poor country India as well, living simple lives, they are here to improve Indian economy.

@ASHOK BOBADE because they don’t work in those trash processing facilities and they need space as bangladesh is too small dor their population. Bengali are gamers.
