Reminds me of the time where I was blanking so bad on “raspberry” in BOTH languages I speak fluently, that the first name I remembered for it was in a third language I don’t speak

    • Mlem says:

I speak german and english fluent and japanese a little bit from Anime and manga and this happens way too often. Often with words where I did not even know that I knew them xD

That happened to me when I forgot the word “glass”. English? Blank. Polish? Blank. German? Blank. French, which I abandoned 3 years ago? Bonjour, did someone call?

For some reason “raspberry” seems to be a really hard word to remember, cause I have that exact problem.

It’s awesome how you change your mannerisms so much between the different characters that you don’t even need to speak for me to tell the difference. You’re a great actor.

  5. M. - says:

I’m trilingual as well. You’d think you’d have two backups when you’re blanking, but sometimes your brain just doesn’t want to cooperate 😅

  6. koushiki says:

Me too, i always forget the words

  7. Athraxas says:

I constantly forget words in both German and English and just stand there, not knowing what to do with my life. I know what I want to say. I know the meaning of the word, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called. And when people ask me to describe it, my brain just bluescreens.

  8. Robert Campomizzi says:

My mom does this all the time.. except her fourth (primary language) is Italian. It’s amazing how someone that speaks four languages can’t communicate!
