Gameplay looks a lot smoother and the lighting has definitely improved! Canโ€™t wait!

Finally some gameplay footage! It looks really interesting. I’m unsure about the camera angle for couch co-op, I hope there’s an option to change it but everything looks promising so far. I hope they add more options to do tag team moves and more options when using weapons e.g. Setting up a chair and running onto it, putting an opponent ONTO the ladder like old times, taunting with certain weapons. Just all the small details that will make the game more enjoyable.

Edit: I also realised no mention of the announcers, I hope they actually react to OMG Moves and tables being broken. It’s depressing when you do an amazing move in 2k19 and the announcers couldn’t care less lol

After seeing this, I’m definitely far more interested than I was yesterday. The gameplay looks pretty good so far. There’s still a lot of questions regarding gameplay to be answered. Is chain wrestling still a thing? How do submissions work in this game? Is limb targeting still in? What about OMG moments? Any changes to paybacks? Comeback? Match-Types? Drag and Carry improvements? Taunt system changes? LIke i said still so much to be uncovered.

This is what we need from the Devs. Open and honest conversations about the status of the game. Wrestling video games are such a unique genre of games that we need things like this!

But weโ€™ll learn that in the tutorial

@Grafix Flam Iโ€™d rather not be surprised by anything involving gameplay. WWE 2K20 killed my outlook on surprises from this series. Gameplay is the most important aspect of the game for me personally so I want to know what Iโ€™m getting.

    • DarkSyde Creations says:

@Dashane H Iโ€™m not so much concerned with how they are done. But how they translate into the gameplay. Did they make any improvements to the mechanics at all.

@SlimJim.Creative Just put the red and blue together with a little bit of stamina and you should have them submitted. Unless you have the buttons active.

    • Grafix Flam says:

I’d leave most of that stuff for our own selves to see when we actually get the game

  6. Stecknadel FM says:

I absolutely love how the old arenas look! That Mysterio vs. Kane match looked so damn good. Even that few seconds from the Guerrero vs. Mysterio match in the previous trailer looked so real! I mean the new arenas look great but the old arenas look so beautiful. I’m really looking foreward to relive some childhood wrestling memories:D.

There’s some good little details that we can see in the reversal of Priest when he hit elbows on Rey, the elbow strike really seems to go at the right height making it feel a lot more realistic in my opinion (but to be sure that it’s not only a simple new animation we’ll have to wait for other gameplay with this counter) but at least it’s a cool improvement because it gives more realism in the game and i personnaly like that, and show that they worked on little details too

  8. apo6_19 says:

The showcase Arena light looks so realistic, hope we can select this “filter” in custom arena’s

  9. Henry Cavill says:

Doing a lot more than they did for WWE 2K20. Must have a lot more faith in it.

    • The AntOne747 says:

2K20 is actually a good game but yeah 2K22 looks way better

    • Cudi23 says:

Yukon the studio who usually worked on their game left more than half way they development and the 2k devs had to fill out the rest not really their fault and if you had a brain you knew that was gonna happen but alas wrestling people stupid as always

    • cam ๐Ÿฅท๐Ÿฝ says:

@twstedfantasy facts i love 2k19 but i been playing this shit for yearss๐Ÿ˜ญ

    • Javar Madison says:

I mean at this point this is make or break of this game is even remotely as bad as 2k20 everyone will lose faith in them and wwe may as well find a new company to make their games

    • Rishy Rish Diamondogs says:

I wouldnโ€™t say a lot more but QOL updates sounds better

  10. NahjustIbbz says:

Iโ€™m honestly looking forward to see the creative aspect ie. MyGM, Universe Mode etc
