I would say at this point in time, Goh/Izzudin is the best malaysia MD’s pair right now. Aaron / Soh and Ong/Teo are inconsistent…
4 me as indonesian.. I would say that aaron/ soh woi yi is the one that make fajar n alfian in trouble more than goh/izzud
I think both pairs (inside BAM) are good but have their own styles, but definitely they are being trained to be more attacking flat like Indonesian under rexy. Goh/Izzudin is much more adapted to this new style because they are already attacking pair to begin with, Aaron/Chia meanwhile is much more defensive pair so thay have a little bit of trouble in adapting.
You definitely see this change of style during asian team championship, and looking at aaron/soh performance there, you see they have their ups and downs. Especially against attacking pairs. They would be expected to perform their best in Thomas cup.
But judging from yesterday game and today’s game against Fajar/Rian, I feel Aaron/Soh gave more problem than Goh/Izzudin.
@xxfong2xx Goh/Izzudin haven’t been doing well before covid, could be one of the reason why they are “ behind “ Aaron/Soh, but like i said earlier, based on their form right now i would say they are the best Malaysian pair.
hmm, many ppl think Aaron/Soh are first tier because they won a medal in Olympic, and Goh/Izzudin are second tier for Malaysia’s man doubles.
But I think their gap isnt that big, both team are actually Malaysia’s first tier. Aaron/Soh just need to improve their mentality, they might have a lot of pressure after the Olympic, and ppl’s expectation for them is much higher.
