A 1000 dollar tattoo can definitely be worth it if the artist is excellent.
Damnnn, At first I didn’t think that was a good idea for a tattoo. But when I see it at the end, I got fascinated! Congrats…
Same!
The story brings life to the tatt. ?
I think this was the most meaningful episode of Worth It ever. The artwork is spectacular, and there’s so much meaning inside of that permanence on Ben’s body. I loved this episode so much. Keep doing these guys! <3
Breaking the bad.
What’d you do to be top comment? Idunno who you are or why you are here…
Bad of breaking
U cant break something that is broken
he doesnt put sunscreen on his tattoos
Maybe no one told him to.
+Allison Hunter its common knowledge that you have to.
More to the point he lives in LA with a pale complexion he should be wearing it
+Allison Hunter its common knowledge. His tattoos wouldn’t fade that fast in a year if he kept it moisturized and sunscreen. The tattoos looks sun damaged to me.
Can’t say I put any on mine, and all of mine still look bright and vibrant ??♀️
This got so deep. So fast. But it was so perfect to tell.
This dude just likes free tattoos. But like same.
who wouldnt like to get their desired tattoo tattooed by an expert for free
I was crying and all emotional about Ben admitting his drug problem and his friend passing away and how amazing the tattoo design was (even doe I also thought the idea was silly at first till he explained) bUT THEN THEY PAN UP TO HIS FACE AND HE SAYS “AH THATS REFRESHING ” and I burst out laughing. Great video, guys.
nbd he made a quick oil painting of the tattoo… how would it feel to be that gifted? Can’t relate
In art class in high school, we were doing a Georgia O’Keeffe period, and we were asked to draw flowers in the style of Georgia O’Keeffe. So I chose an orchid, a d I sketched it out and colored/shaded it pink and white. When I then had to paint it, I found that my painting just wasn’t translating the way I wanted it to. It ended up looking like a pink bunny rabbit with one ear lol. I still have it though and it’s still one of my favorite memories and favorite pieces I made lol.
Rey of Ren it’s called practice
Allison Hunter what art class did you have
Why not try a different artist. This is just the same thing as last time. There are alot of great tattoo artists that would have been great for this.
Because he did such a fantastic job last time, it’s another memorial piece and he wanted it to be as good as the first one was.
Thank you.
If you found someone you comfortable with, and that someone gave good result, why bother looking for other people?
For tattoos, it’s best to keep the same artist because it’s like a painting. If you painted a picture halfway then let someone else take over, it may not look right and blend well. For the sake of the show though, it would be better for then to expose all these great artists.
Because it’s his tattoo and he likes this artist and it’s his body so he can do what he wants with it
great video, but the editing was kinda over the top at some points
I agree, it made the pat montage kinda cheesy
Especially the part where they flashed Pat’s face on the screen
I still prefer the time eyes tattoo
yeah but the tattoo artist is a prick to be honest. The tattoo wasn’t and isn’t worth that much. Just my opinion but I can get something like that for cheaper and higher quality with an artist who isn’t like that
MUCH respect to the editor of this video. The sync at 10:36 did not go Unnoticed hahaha
@ig ruelmelbs The paint drops matched the music
I don’t get it.
I can survive university. I’m Rachel! The ink drops sync to the music.
+I can survive university. I’m Rachel! not sure you can survive university.. jk
+I can survive university. I’m Rachel! can’t you read the comment above you?
I don’t know if its just the editing, or if they had to say some of these things multiple times, but a lot of the initial tattoo discussion/consultation seemed insincere. The tattoo artist felt like he was fairly annoyed during that conversation.
*Makes a video to get a $1000 tattoo so buzzfeed pays for it.* *This dude is livin his life right*
sparklyclarke they profit so much from this video though
In Memory of
Patrick Nastro
1986 – 2018
Calliey2018 who is that?
PepeSylvia his best friend who passed away
Charlotte S yes sorry, I just finished watching the whole video. I thought it was someone from buzzfeed
i don’t want to sound negative or anything but i feel like this tattoo could have been so much better.
The concept is very unique and interesting but the artist execution just wasn’t that great, especially since he’s charging $250 per hour. That’s like top artist pay and just pausing the video at 12:20, looking at a fresh tattoo(the colors should be the most vibrant they’ll ever be) it already looks dull and some one the lines are shaky and sloppy.
for $1000 i feel like you could’ve went to another artist who doesn’t seem so stuck up and gotten a much more better/vibrant tattoo.
I agree, dont wanna sound like it’s a bad tattoo – but there shaky lines, inconsistent blurred shading, and for that price tag, you should be expecting a much better tattoo than what he got. There is great artist out there that charge way cheaper and much better quality.
I was thinking the same thing I’m like this thing looks like something you could get at any shop for about $250
100% not worth a grand. $1000 is top artist prices ive seen 1 year tattooists do crisper work
I just don’t like the last comment he made… hm this channel promoted him and that’s the way he says thank you? Also why so so far in advanced? And there is an emotional theme to the tattoo and he thinks it’s a good idea to make that comment?
I’m glad worth it is still continuing the series, so many buzzfeed series start and then end immediately
So far I got 2 tattoos from speakeasy. Scott is a true artist and really goes all the way for his clients. I can say by far speakeasy is the best tattoo shop I’ve been to and got to say thanks to buzzfeed for shedding light on speakeasy. If it wasn’t for you guys I wouldn’t have ever known. On a side note I think it’s really cool knowing my tattoo art is connected to yours and everyone else who’s had a tattoo by Scott.
Captain Corpse where is he located?
When he was talking about his friend dying I realized something. My mom had a similar experience. She was on the stairs of her dorm house in college and getting a drink of water at night. And then she thought of her cousin randomly. The next morning she got a call saying her cousin died last night in a car accident. These experiences can’t be coincidences.
My cousin experienced almost the same thing. At first she just felt uneasy, and try to figure out what. A few moments later, she got a phone call saying that our grandmother just passed away.
Same kind of thing happened to me. A few years ago I got a panic attack around 3-4 am and I just couldn’t go back to sleep for a good hour. Next thing I knew it was the morning and my dads friend passed away a few hours prior from a heart attack.
And then again I got really bad anxiety but not to the point of an attack the same day my great uncle passed.
October 8, 2016 I was on my way to my high school for a Drumline performance at the state fair. On my way to school, I saw my best friend on her way to school at Paul Mitchell with her boyfriend taking him to work. I frantically waved at her because we were supposed to hang out at the fair later that day since it was the last day of the fair. After my performance she never showed up, I was a little upset but her school was about two hours away and figured she was tired, no big deal the fair runs every year. I got home and found out about 15 minutes after I saw her she was killed in a car wreck. She dropped her boyfriend off at work, kissed him goodbye and said she loved him, then was killed minutes later. I still so happy I was able to see her that morning and got to wave at her because I think it was a proper goodbye. I still think about her everyday
The day my moms boyfriend passed away I didn’t want to go to school and thought about telling him not to go to work, my mom didn’t want him to leave either. Around 5pm I was gonna text him and ask if he needed a ride home from work but decided I shouldn’t bother him. My mom called me around 6pm saying he had another seizure three days later he was taken off life support to donate his organs. That was October 2017.
