If anyone doubts that President George HW Bush was a true Texas Aggie (as well as a Yale graduate) just watch this video. He personally arranged his entire funeral activities before his death. And just go to the 4:51 mark of this video as his coffin is removed from the train and marched to the hearse that took his body to his grave site on the A&M Campus. The choice of the song couldn’t be more perfect for a true Texas Aggie.

Glad Laura put flat shoes on. I bet these people are drained. This has been a long journey

If you people can’t respect the man who you democratically elected to lead your nation, and who gave his entire life to his country. Then clearly you don’t respect your consitution and what makes America, the leader of the free world. If he isn’t a true patriot, then you sure aren’t. R.I.P. George H.W. Bush

+Winston Zack “defeating Iraq when they invaded Kuwait”
After making them invade in the first place. Send them in, tell the world you’re fine with it, have the Kuwaiti stocks crash, buy them cheaply and then unleash a war to get those stocks up again. Bush was one of the worst criminals of the 20th century.

I think the train is a great tradition. I hope it is done in the future to give folks a chance to pay their respects as it passes. And the engine is gorgeous. Just like Air Force 1. Hope it never changes.

    • Joshua Ilac says:

this hasn’t been done since President Abraham lincoln and most likely won’t be done again…. the up only has 1 presidential locomotive 4141 and the up did this because of the fact that 4141 was named after president bush sr.

    • ktpinnacle says:

Actually, funeral trains were also done for James A. Garfield, Ulysses S. Grant, William McKinley, Warren G. Harding, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Dwight D. Eisenhower, Robert F. Kennedy, Douglas MacArthur, and Frank Lautenberg.

The amazing respect and honor conferred on our American presidents and war heroes are truly among our most hallowed ceremonies and institutions. Makes me super proud to behold them. You’d think YouTube could adjust the algorithm so it wouldn’t get slogged with meaningless commercials.
