“On the day in which we celebrate the trust in a life that triumphs, I’m honored and happy to answer ‘Sì’ to the invitation of the City and the Duomo of Milan. I believe in the strength of praying together; I believe in the Christian Easter, a universal symbol of rebirth that everyone – whether they are believers or not – truly needs right now. Thanks to music, streamed live, bringing together millions of clasped hands everywhere in the world, we will hug this wounded Earth’s pulsing heart, this wonderful international forge that is reason for Italian pride. The generous, courageous, proactive Milan and the whole of Italy will be again, and very soon, a winning model, engine of a renaissance that we all hope for. It will be a joy to witness it, in the Duomo, during the Easter celebration which evokes the mystery of birth and rebirth” Andrea Bocelli

I feel very sad for the many sick people in Milan – and the 7 thousand dislikers.
Colin Hamilton I think they hit the wrong button! Some sad people out there! This was pure magic! 🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree.

@PhoebeSue I think its the distaste of catholic church in a growing secular world, especially with all the church’s controversies that were covered up. My uncle was abused and my family completely cut ties with the church, except for me I guess.
Sad for the 7 thousand dislikers? 太有才了 – 駡人不帶髒字的毒句!
I am an egyptian muslim female living in Italy and that was magical. Hope we all live in peace after this hard time passes regardless of our faith and race and with more compassion towards one another. Happy easter and palm day everyone <3
Ma salemah, dear Labna. Shoukran.
@Maiden DE You dare to raise your vile spirit on this special day. Christ will always compel you. It may only be until the last day but you will regret your choice, most beautiful angle. 🙂 Happy Easter!
Maiden DE where do you come from ? Do you know what Compassion means ?
Jesus loves you!
Why not live in Egypt? Why move
Lingering sound for three days.

Andrea, God bless you and your family for this affectionate expression with all of us. Isolated inside our homes, we had our hearts fluttering for about thirty minutes. I am grateful! We will win, we will overcome all this. As long as there is love and music in the world, we will be fine. I saw you live and it was amazing. “I was blind, but now I see”. when Andrea Bocelli sang that it reminded me of Saint Exupery’s “the little prince”:”It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye” . Andrea Bocelli can clearly see with his heart. We can hear that

Blind but now I see refers to spiritual blindness not natural blindness.
2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
@rhonda Redfern Whatever, it’s amazing when a blind man sings this
So wonderful to enjoy this inspiring 30 minutes from distant South Africa when I hope all the world could pause and absorb this pure beauty. God bless everyone and believe we will all be better for this devastating experience.

On this sad, sad Easter Sunday when our world is closed, Bocelli’s magnificent voice truly reminds us all of the things that are truly dearest of all – the love of God, love of family, love of fellowman.
And for him to sing “Amazing Grace” meant so much to me personally who remembers standing with my family in a little wooden white church in my middle Georgia hometown as a child in the 1930s with my father and mother touched me more deeply than imaginable.
That hymn cuts across all socio-economic barriers and is so beloved by many regardless of religious beliefs.
Thank you to those who produced this tribute today so the world again could pause and realize there is something greater than ourselves that inspires us to be better people.
And thank you, Italy, for the wonderful culture you have given to this world for centuries and centuries.

So passionate, so appropriate, so powerful. We need power together with softness, we need to cry and grieve the lost, while finding the energy to heal those that are still sick and suffering. The world grieves for Italy, as we face our own local pandemics. Thank you AB!
