Thank Lathander it’s not Bioware!
@Arccade Dragon Age Inquisition was fine, if not great. I especially enjoyed the Orlesian reception quest, video games could use more political intrigue
@DiRiN They have not made a good rpg in 15 years.
@MunroM84 bullshit, me trilogy was a great action rpg. Da series is fantastic. MEA was a decent game. Anthem however…
@Lecherous Lizard He is. Never has bioware forced anyone to have gay sex and its not biowares fault that trump acts like a thin-skinned fascist.
And larian studios are any good? No. As I see it, they are ones of the worst who can try to make it.
“Baldur’s Gate III” by infantile @larianstudios? What a joke. Info 100%: huge disappointment incoming for any hardcore oldschool connoisseur of great games and RPGs like “Baldur’s Gate I-II” and “Planescape: Torment”. I wish it never happened.
“Divinity: Original Sin” was and is so bad. There was nothing new or good in it. Just a mediocre game, if not to say it’s bad by many solid criterions. Tons of false promises on kickstarter, many bad design desicions. On and on.
Sad, but true. It’s impossible for pesky larian studios to make something great as “Baldur’s Gate I-II” and “Planescape: Torment” were. Knowing what they are capable of; their writing and design decision were never good.
I have tried. I have tried to recreate it, my all time favourite “Baldur’s Gate I-II”, to spark it anew in my memory, but it is gone. A hollow, dead thing. For years, I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory. And then nothing. You will all suffer, @larianstudios.
I seriously doubt anything at E3 can top this
@ΛutistiЄ yeah and how many people now about this ; )
@tz
More than you think? :/
@ΛutistiЄ Baldurs Gate 3 could be a copy and paste of BG2 in a new engine and it would wipe the floor with Cyberpunk2077.
@Shadw’ its out the end of this year or q1 next year.
@MunroM84 Q1 end 2020
“AH SURVE THA FLAYMIN FEEYUST!”
I *AM* the law!
For the glory of Amn!
You all stop please, my heart.
@Arccade Hold, travelers! Before you be allowed entrance, you must donate a tome of great value to our libraries.
To all the other game developers out there. If you are wondering why we are all so happy about this there are two reasons. 1. Larian is amazing and has not let us down. We know they are great at what they do. 2. They are giving us something we WANT, not telling us we want this games as service/mobile crap i have literally never heard a soul say they wanted.
IDK. I’ve yet to see anything that’s really deep storytelling from them. Their stuff is colourful, fun, well enough written, and excellently soundtracked. But they’ve never made anything like this. Obsidian or inxile would both be better suited IMO. We will see.
Time for a bit of the rough and tumble!
>Watches trailer
>Mind lights up
>Sees Larian Studios at the end
>Becomes Neil Degrasse Tyson blasting into the cosmos
yay what a team to be working on this :’ )

My mind is blown! The transformation of the host (Ceremorphosis) has not been know to happen that fast but I love the cinematic effect! Well done!
Hooray to Larian!
I’m certain the transformation is just for cinematic effect. Based off the description it may sound more like it’s a looming presence and will be a priority focus of the storytelling. Slow and methodical is my guess.
The host would also, you know, be locked up as a prisoner most likely. Can’t imagine how a slave is able to break free and then is allowed to live. Still loved it htough!
I haven’t even dared to dream about it. TAKE MY MONEY!
i saw the title and i told myself it had to be an evil hoax
Are you ****ing kidding? As I see it larian studios are ones of the worst who can try to make it.

@TrueNeutral EvGenius go to visit a doctor.
Ladies and gentlemen, project “Gustav” is here!
Remember when video games were actually made by people who play them?
Larian Studios remembers. ???
Truuueee. I hope so
I agree totally, I am glad to see that BG 3 is going to be done by Larian Studios, they really know how to make an RPG.
I memba
@TrueNeutral EvGenius Honestly it’s pretty early to tell what they’ll do with it. My certain is WHAT they will do since the bhaalspawn sega ended in ToB and they apparently killed off Abdel Adrian recently.
I have never played D: OS, but maybe they’ll have some of the team who made BG1 and BG2 to help with BG3. Only time will tell.
Baldurs Gate: You must gather your party before venturing forth.
Me: My party was waiting for over 18 years!
This is the third game. Not the forth.
mrakuloid dumb pun
nice one ^^
Dont you mean: “Let me speed run this game with 1 character”? ?
oh god so true
Me: Finally getting some social life now that i am almost 30…
Larian Studios: You sure ’bout that?
Me, 40 and giggling: “Nice, finally my 13 year old nephew can experience the Baldurs Gate magic”
30 seconds into the Trailer:”…yeeeaaaah, he won´t!”
this
You Must Gather Your Party Before Venturing Forth
A sequel to the highest rated RPG of all time on metacritic, Baldur’s Gate 2.
Made by the creators of Divinity Original Sin 2: One of the top 5 highest rated RPGs of ever and also one of my favourites.
This can’t go wrong.
I want to believe.
Please don’t say that. Please don’t jinx this.
@Jesse Saastamoinen Gamespot has an interview with Larian about it on their homepage. They said it’s based on the later editions of D&D rather than the one BG1-2 were based on at the time so it will be a new story but with a bunch of references to the old games thrown in of course. It’ll be based more on the tabletop than the previous games story-wise

“Baldur’s Gate” is a masterpiece. “Dininity” is just frank trash in comparing.

@Erik Litsenius The world of forgotten realms changed vastly between 2nd ed, and 5th ed, to reflect changes in the mechanics. To get the license, they’d have to be pimping the game, which requires 5th ed. Ergo, it’s set in a MUCH later time period, hundreds of years later.
“Hah! Your powers are useless against me, o vile squidface, for I am one with Boo and together we are at least three or four”
OH MY GOD
Swen, guys, I love you all! You deserved this
Go for the eyes Boo, GO FOR THE EYES!
Boo *Squeaks ferociously, worthy of a giant space hamster*
Wow. I’ve been wanting this for about 15 years now. Thank you Larian!
