    THEY’RE AIRPORTS IF YOU SQUINT.

  2. Albert Miller says:

Do Australia’s geography problem. The centre is too dry and experiencing drought, while the Murray river is losing too much water. The south west of Western Australia, the Wimmera, hunter valley and the Barossa valley are not the only, but most productive areas for growing crops like wheat and grapes. The south west of Western Australia has an advantage of a major port, Fremantle, and the best natural harbour in the world in Albany , but is isolated from the rest of the country. the Wimmera drains too much water from the Murray river, and has no cities or coastline, leading to too much road and rail transport reliance. The hunter valley has a natural port, but only has one major crop, grapes, like the Barossa valley.
The northeast of victoria is very high up and reasonably wet, but has an issue of snow, isolation and transportation issues.
Tasmania is possibly the best region for growing food, but has a low population, cold climate relatively similar to England. There are wine, berry and apple farms across the east of the island, and they have a decent port in Hobart.

The government has a very crucial military base in Townsville, or villestown in French, from which soldiers left for Vietnam. The cities of Broome and Darwin got bombed in World War II, and Darwin has a small military base. The army has strong ties to the us army, so they have backup, but still spend less on military expenses than Taiwan and Poland.

The northeast of the country is the wettest region of the country with the most fertile soil, yet only produces sugar cane. The region is very close to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree rainforest, which are both effected by the runoff of fertiliser and pollution from the sugar mills. The land is crisscrossed by national parks, so development is restricted to smaller areas, leading to intense pressure on flooded roads and cane trains that cause frequent accidents.

This is just my own opinions and may not be factually correct

Third. And it’s never a Wendover video without a mention of an airplane or Toyota.

I bet you are really sponsored by boeing

  4. ARIHAN BABAKHANI says:

Not exactly an airplane video, but I’ll take it!

  5. Fox says:

Aircraft carrier = plane on boat
    Wendover approved

    • The Earth Is a Cylinder!! says:

Normal people: an aircraft career is a strategic military base on sea capable of launching various aircraft.
Wendover: it’s a swimming airport with swimming planes on it

“ *_Its not a Wendover Productions Video without Airplanes_* “ -Shakespeare 2018

  7. FRANTIC ™ says:

How many Toyota Corollas will fit in that Aircraft Carrier?

  8. Gipsy Danger says:

Could you cover how Jordan despite its location. Has managed to be one of the most stable nation’s in the Middle East.

  9. 1293ST says:

Can’t we like build a bridge out of aircraft carries?

    • NoName says:

but all ships already have bridges

    • The Student Official says:

One day when i was 10-12 i tried connecting my toy boats in swimming pool. It didn’t work out, the wave’s too big and potentially ruin the connection

    • Gdnamesrtaken says:

Good idea but I don’t think it’s quite that simple, the waves would move the ships around too much as well as differing deck heights (whether that be from different class carriers or even just the cargo onboard causing the ship to sit slightly lower.) Oh also don’t forget about the catwalks that most carriers tend to have protruding out past the deck. So technically we probably could, it would certainly look pretty awesome, but I don’t think it would be very feasible.

    • The raging War Cat says:

      Why

    • Kyotra says:

You probably could but it would be a massive waste and really impractical.

Look up “Mulberry harbours”, that might interest you.

  10. a_slime says:

    0:55 A wild UK carrier appears 🤔

    • KevinKickMusic says:

+i c o n i c Yeah I thought that was a ‘Half As Interesting’ joke, but I reassured myself this is a ‘Wendover Productions’ video. There are no jokes in ‘Wendover Productions’ videos so it must be a mistake of some sort. Kind of disappointed, since It would have been a pretty good jab at Britain’s dependency on American military.

    • Rory says:

We have two aircraft carriers. HMS Queen Elizabeth, that’s conducting sea trials and HMS Prince of Wales, that’s under construction but very nearly finished.

    • Datch says:

      Yeah he didn’t even say

  13. John Doe says:

How does Thailand end up with a fixed wing aircraft carrier??? 😑😑😑😑😑

    • Joel Schembri says:

+Michelangelo Buonarroti 2 carriers ok let me stop you there both of them are compared to America or even Britain and France small. Giuseppe Garibaldi is ancient and tiny and Cavour while newer their aircraft aren’t exactly amazing. I wouldn’t even say they’re comparable to the big boys they’re more comparable to the American Wasp class LHD than actual carriers same goes for the Spanish and Thai carriers. Compared to what America Britain France Russia China or India have they’re positively small and not that well equipped. Britain and France both outnumber Italy in attack submarines and they’re nuclear unlike Italy’s. The only thing you mentioned that even half made me intrigued was your new FREMM frigates. Other than that if we talking European navies both Britain France and possibly Spain have better navies and better power projection than Italy.

Fun fact: Thailand was aligned with the Axis powers in WWII.

    • Ralf Siegesmund says:

They bought it with money, to show that they can afford to own one. It’s hardly leaving port though. I don’t think that a plane has started from it in decades.

    • Ralf Siegesmund says:

+YouKnowMeFromSchool it was in water 3 years ago. I don’t think they put it in a dry dock.

I love how no one actually comments about what the creator wants you to comment on.

  19. calvinstrikesagain says:

You failed to count the USN’s 9 Ship LHA/LHD fleet, which can embark up to 20 AV-8B or F-35B STOVL fighters. Most international carriers only match up to the LHA/LHD “Gator Navy” standard, so it’s disingenuous not to count them.

  20. Pelh24 says:

That guy at 7:50 was pulling some moves
