But Covid-19 is very different, in ways that make it much more dangerous. And understanding how is key to understanding why we have to take it so seriously.

  2. Andrew Wardle says:

Question: How long can you suffer from it once you start feeling sick and how long after you are “over it” do you stay infectious for??

    • Verum Perditio says:

There is a guy who was a passenger on the diamond princess who tested positive for Coronavirus for 100 days. He has a youtube channel “The REAL David Abel”. So I’ll let you do the research.

    • GachaLiv Studios says:

Andrew Wardle I don’t have it but 2 weeks maybe for the sick part. Though me feeling sick feels normal rip me

    • randomdogdog says:

@L0re Online The quarantine time (in my country we call it isolation) is to check if you have the virus. As the video said, it can take 14 days for the symptoms to come out. If you catch the virus you will get sick. Well, until we get a vaccine…

    • big barry says:

Normally you would have to undergo two consecutive negative tests spaced across few days. Not sure how they deal with this virus, especially if tests are only 20% sensitive.

    • Jesse Madrid says:

Don’t listen to any of these answers. No one exactly knows the answer to your question yet, Not even scientists.

but the good guys lost the war, because they didn’t want to believe freedom was really at stake. now Twitter is the white-house, and twitter law doesn’t support anyone who hurts a woman. even if she lied about who the abuser was.

    • Wander the Nomad says:

      @brickswisher That’s what I was considering as a cure. A vaccine.

    • bowez9 says:

@Teethgrinder 83 just because there isn’t a vaccine doesn’t mean people don’t have a tolerance to it. Reports list at least 10% of infections being asymptomatic.
Mortality for Covid only approaches 1% for those 60+, were as Flu is fatal for both young and old.

    • brickswisher says:

@Wander the Nomad Well covid-19 will likely have a vaccine by “next season”.

    • Steven Hershberger says:

Teethgrinder 83 — Do you think more people are currently hospitalized (and dying) right now from Influenza or CoVid-19? These aren’t hard numbers to find. (*Spoiler:* It’s Influenza. Shocker.)

    • Teethgrinder 83 says:

@bowez9 I don’t get your point. That means those who have no symptoms may pass it on to others spreading it more and then still fueling the need for more hospital admissions. In the end social distancing is needed to avoid the strain on hospitals

Mazera DeVille Idk how old you are but you’d have to be at least like 25 to even vaguely remember 9/11, which imo was the last major event that caused a comparable level of disruption. Also not sure why you started talking about Bolivar but I’d say he’s a pretty iconic historical figure, even more so in Bolivarian countries obviously.

and because they’re not reliable. @ 2 minutes they compare US yearly casualty for the flu with corona virus casualties worldwide? How is that even a comparison? US population 327 MILLION, World population 7 Billion. Terrible terrible job Vox, terrible!

    • Overlord6 says:

Denise Milfort It’s showing how quickly the virus is killing people. It’s pretty early and it’s already comparable to US flu casualties.
