Everything Wrong With Mamma Mia In 15 Minutes Or Less

With Mamma Mia 2 approaching quickly, we reluctantly decided to go looking for sins in the original Mamma Mia. We instantly regretted this decision.

Thursday: Typing sins.

Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie’s sins should we expose next?!

Sin 106 was off. Sophie never got married anyways lol

    • FRLSGaming says:

      awkwardnchey yes, thank you

    • SoLoMoN DaViDSoN says:

Yes, the most rage-inducing part of this whole dumpster fire of a movie!!! The wedding for Sophie was in the end pointless since she ended up standing up her fiancé for no reason, gained 3 well-off dads who want to make up not being there for her, and essentially wasted everyone’s time & money…all in the name of finding herself, or whatever!!!

    • Emerald Fox says:

Dumpster fire? and not a movie, its a musical originally! honestly it is amazing and what you said is a disgrace to a musical theatre performer

  2. TimeToDip says:

honestly this was too boring to sin

  3. Twimbo says:

“young girl in a bathing suit spends a sexy summer Greek day with three shirtless old perverts”. You do realize you just described Instagram models right?

  4. James Bunker says:

This movie embarreses any movie that’s ever been called a musical

  5. Seth Tan says:

This song was a big part of my childhood, slow down on that sin counter.

  6. Duh Itz Rachel says:

I’m going to be honest I really do love this movie. It may be cheesy and I know most people don’t like it, but I have so many memories watching this with my grandma and we are so excited to see Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. I know lots of people are saying hateful comments about this movie, but in my opinion it’s a classic and it will always be in my heart. 🙂

    • Liam Warner says:

For some reason I’m expecting Sophie to divorce Sky in the sequel and decide to raise her child alone (with some help from her dad’s and mom’s friends).

    • Eagle 88 says:

Sure that’s your opinion but I wouldn’t call it a classic by any stretch of the imagination, it’s a musical love story Disney pumps one of those out every other day

    • Rob says:

WTF is wrong with you? This movie blows hard ass. Are you retarded or something?

    • Shadow says:

Duh Itz Rachel I liked this movie when I was a kid and now that rewatched it and seen this video I can honestly say…..

      I *don’t* F×CK with musicals
And I still like this film ☻

    • Lil A says:

Duh Itz Rachel you literally just described my life with this movie 😂 I like it too and gave memories of watching it with my grandma.

  7. Jordan Average says:

“I’d remove a thousand sins if they had a spontaneous foursome right now” lmao

  8. Bellatrix Silverly says:

“Ah, sudden chorus of townspeople!” 😂😂😂

  9. Emily Raye says:

None of y’all know how to have fun and enjoy a ridiculous dance number to an ABBA song and I feel sorry for y’all. Not everything has to be high art all the time sometimes you just need something cheesy and delightful

    • Little Bit Of Everything says:

Emily Raye I don’t find it delightful I find it asinine, I’m not expecting it to be high art, I don’t like the people in it, they feel so fake, instead of showing real people with personalities they are all the masks people wear, they are not real people.

    • Napalm Blaziken says:

Things that are VERY important to a musical.

      1) Good singing. The singing in this movie ranges from passable to horrible. Brosnan is by far the worst singer, but Streep does a bad job as well here. Granted she vastly improved with Into the Woods, but she just didn’t have the pipes here.

      2) Songs that connect. There’s a difference between a song you sing, and a musical number. A song you sing doesn’t have to connect with anything going on, so you just sing. A musical number however, connects to the story and/or character. I don’t hate ABBA, but what does Dancing Queen have to do with Streep seeing her three exes? Not only does it fail to connect to the movie, but it also fails to convey how anyone there is feeling at that moment in time, their goals (either long term or short term), nor their motivation.

If you enjoy it, that’s fine, but there are reasons people don’t, and it isn’t because “iz nut hi art”. I enjoy plenty of things that aren’t. They Live, Bee Movie, The Room, Rocky Horror, those movies are so absurd, I can’t help but laugh and enjoy them.

    • Dargonhuman says:

I like Veggietales and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, I’m no stranger to cheesy and delightful.
This movie is neither of those things; it’s cringy and terrible. It’s trying too hard to be both high art and cheesy, and it fails on both fronts.

    • Cat Merchant says:

Welcome to cinema sins where the premise of our channel is in fact to take the fun out of everything…..
If you aren’t used to that yet then you should probably leave

    • Connor Brady says:

Sonic hasn’t been not cringe-worthy in a decade.

  10. Bellatrix Silverly says:

I love this movie but I really hate the damn fact they waited 10 years to make a sequel. I can understand maybe 3 or 5 years but 10?! What in the actual fuck?

  11. 11thDoctor's Companion says:

I don’t like Mamma Mia. Fight me.

  12. unliah says:

i love mamma mia, like the plot is cheesy shit, and while i love well written stuff i also think it’s important to watch things that aren’t always meant to be taken seriously or are fun at the same time. like, the target audience is very clear so i already knew many people would hate this movie, but with the right people this movie is a fucking blast. apparently i have shit taste in music but i love the songs, they sound good and since i’m no music expert that’s really all that matters to me.

    • Emil Andersen says:

unliah the songs are good…if ABBA preforms them. No-one in this movie could sing.

    • tentativaX says:

      Emil Andersen
Amanda Seyfried has a decent singing voice, if you ask me. But then again, I really like this movie, so I’m not exactly un-biased…XP

    • Morgan O'Brien-Bledsoe says:

Ok. This video doesn’t change any of that. Does it?

    • kyoyameganebereznoff says:

unliah The songs, like, the original source material, are good, but the folks singing them in this movie are atrocious. Not even auto-tune could fix Pierce Brosnan.

  13. Buzz The Buzzard says:

The way you pronounce ABBA deserves a Sin, DING!

  14. Golden State Warriors fan since 2015 says:

Musicals are so obnoxious please don’t sin one again

  15. Topahoo says:

    “Do Mamma Mia” – Nobody

    • 0SharkGuy says:

Topahoo it’s because the sequel is coming out so either they were sponsored or are just doing it to be relevant

  16. RandomTori says:

    Mamma Mia is without sin

  17. Ashaylan Govender says:

As much as I love this channel and you guys constantly and consistently make me laugh, 13:37 , it actually became Sam (Pierce Brosnan) and Donna’s (Meryl Streep) wedding, not Sophie and Sky’s.

  18. Conor Murphy says:

For the love of god please do 8 mile

  19. Nkiruka J says:

You should do Mean Girls. Amanda Seyfried doesn’t sing in that

  20. Marcona Jake says:

My 8th grade social studies teacher let us watch this…
