I Bought A Box Of Amazon Customer Returns

I Bought A Box Of Amazon Customer Returns

So it turns out that when you return something to Amazon, instead of restocking it, they auction it off in giant liquidation palettes – where you can get thousands of dollars of stuff for a few hundred dollars!! It feels kind of like an abandoned storage unit except all online – so I bought one and unboxed it all to see if it was really as good of a deal as it looks! The Internet Made Me Buy It – but after seeing this, would you?

also the finger cots are good if you cut your finger and need a bandaid but also need to keep your finger dry… I cook a lot so I do have some of those in my kitchen…that also reminds me I need to buy more

  3. HockityPock says:

finger cots are actually a decent art supply, to keep your fingers clean when working with charcoal/loose pigments. as a sfw medical supply they’re good for keeping bandages dry if you’ve got cuts on your hands but a whole glove is unwieldy.

I feel like this is the kind of thing I would buy impulsively late at night, have a blast opening, and then not know what to do with any of the stuff or why I spent money on it

Actually the finger cots are used a lot if you hurt your finger pretty badly, it’s so you can keep any bandaids or whatever on your finger, a couple years ago my mom cut a chunk off the tip of her finger when She was slicing carrots and had to use those… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were used for… other things

    • oliverlaurasykes says:

Rosa 833 Yep! they can also be used for inserting enemas etc. And also they’re used a bit in sex for fingering! Very versatile item haha

Those finger condoms are actually really useful for crafting. I use them when I’m working with resin.

  16. Trash lord says:

Fyi pentagrams aren’t satanic they’re actually wiccan, they’re the symbol of protection for wiccans.

    • Komichi says:

Trash lord However, in this case they are inverted pentagrams, which ARE associated with Satanism and black magic because the meaning of the star points are inversed, placing the spirit at the bottom.

There’s a lot of argument about whether or not that’s a historically accurate read of the pentagram (short answer: not really), but in the modern era there’s no doubt that inverted religious symbols (see also: St. Peter’s cross) are associated with Satanism and black magic regardless of historical context, and are intentionally marketed as such (as in the case of this sweater which is sold as a Satanic Christmas sweater). So Saf isn’t exactly wrong, it’s just meanings change over time and sometimes flip entirely.

To be clear, that doesn’t mean that Wiccans who opt to ignore the modern read of the pentacle points are wrong, either. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It’s just an issue that’s a lot more complicated than just “this belongs to Wiccans and is good.”

    • Komichi says:

It’s also worth noting that by and large Satanists are essentially trolls who use religious scaremongering to their advantage, largely to maintain separation of church & state or otherwise demonstrate religious hypocrisy. As such, once something is incorrectly identified as Satanist and to be feared, it’s likely to actually be adopted by Satanists regardless of origin, making it… Well… A Satanic symbol.

You could accuse them of appropriation, but they’re largely aware of the origins and using it to demonstrate that religious fear mongering is reactionary and not based in fact or history. So it’s not black -and-white there, either.

      It’s complicated!

    • RabbosForLife .-. says:

Trash lord I am *SO* glad you said that! So so so so so many people say that and I get so annoyed when they do.

  20. Trash 6z6 says:

When you said that a pentagram is Satanic I got kinda offended so let me clear something up real quick. A pentagram is the Wiccan symbol, not satanic. Wiccans don’t even believe in Satan or God
    Hope this was helpful

    • Autumn says:

Trash 6z6 I got annoyed by the same thing. It’s a general Pagan symbol for protection, not Satanic. -.-

    • Zom Bunny says:

You’re right but a lot of people don’t realize this, and that sweater probably is being marketed as a ‘satanic’ sweater. You can be irritated, but if your offended by people mislabeling the pentagram you’ll be offended by most everyone. It’s just taken on a new meaning by being associated with satanism, like the swastika being a symbol of peace having changed to one of hate by it’s association with Nazis, you can argue for it’s legitimate meaning but that’s not gonna change what people think when they see it.

    • Autumn says:

Zom Bunny Very true. I won’t lose sleep over it but misinformation is never a good thing. Even if only a few people read these comments and learn its origin, that’s better than nothing. It’s better to light one candle than to curse the dark after all.
