I Got My Closet Professionally Organized

I Got My Closet Professionally Organized

It’s time…. to declutter. Again. So a few months ago we got my makeup collection professionally organized, and it was very, very exciting – so I asked our professional organizer friends at Practically Perfect to come back and help me tackle all of my personal clothes in my closets (and drawers and cabinets). Chaos ensued, but we eventually got it under control and ended up with a beautifully file-folded bedroom!

PS: also, saw the comments about the fiddle leaf fig plant and the cat – thanks for the heads up! for ur peace of mind, crusty is not a leaf chewer at all (and he has not tried with this plant at all either), but we will keep him away from it for sure!

  5. Samantha Fisher says:

Holy moly those hangers are $50 for 24. That is insanity.

    • K-pop is my Bias says:

I got a BUNCH of them for free when a store was closing down, granted they all have the store name on them but i don’t buy hangers for their design anyways.

    • Jodie Fox says:

I only buy the 50 for 10 dollar packages at Costco

    • Anonymous Individual says:

Idk how or why I have many hangers but not many clothes?

    • Kimberly Rowland says:

I get the velvet ones from Walmart and I think they are $9.99 for 50. And they work wonderfully. My fiancé and I have different colors and it really does make a closet look a whole lot more organized.

    • Kennedi Sly says:

I got 50 of those hangers for $10 at costco

  7. Mr. Quaxington says:

    The thing is…..

    Is it still professionally organized

    • Florence Pierce says:

Not if it was *MY Closet!!!* I would have to win Lotto so I could have a Professional Organizer/Life-Coach/De-Clutterer Thingy Person every 3 months – and I’d *Still* be hanging out for them in the last week or two!

  8. ginny mae says:

like imagine having so much clothes that you actually have to get your closet *_professionally organized_*

    • Marina Herrman says:

It’s kind of in the same way that I have a ton of clothes. I’ve just slowly collected them over the years. I also just really like to thrift shop when I’m upset

    • K-pop is my Bias says:

I think i have dont have a ton of clothes but in reality i have just stuffed it all in bags and put them in another closet for me to forget about and then remember when a new season arrives.

    • Wissale Ch says:

Me and my fathet used to have the same problem, except it was books, papers and stationary. When I lived at my parents, the whole family had to help to organise our books and papers.

she has so many clothes yet she seems to wear the same top in every video and in her channel profile picture

I never thought I would like watching people organize, but then Marie Kondo came and unscrewed my door, took it off, put it back on, and changed my life. She’s too nice to break down the door.

I was a Secretary, a highly organized multi-tasker working for 8-10 people, swapping back & forth from one file/assignment to the next & back with zero effort. People *Literally* came by my desk to check out the drawers – *Seriously!* They were a Tanagram: All right angles, every space filled up – erasers/pencils/staplers & such nesting perfectly together in office-drawer harmony. My Point? Everyone was like:
      You’re *Soooo Organized*. Yeah Right.
My life at home was a *Shit-Storm!* Piles of clothes, magazines, dirty dishes/dirty laundry; broken kitchenware, old (broken) mobile phones – I even held on to shopping lists & pieces of paper I did newspaper puzzles on! Years later, still a Semi-Hoarder, slowly “Kondo-ing” my way to tidy!
      – I wonder if the gals from Practically Perfect are at all close to me? Gods I hope not!

If you get rid of prop/video clothes, a charity auction would be great

  16. Lily & Ian says:

I KonMari’d my closet a couple months ago and I’m proud to say I’ve maintained the file folding. When everything else is already nicely put away in the drawer, it makes you want to fold! ?

  17. journey lewonas says:

you were *not* lying about how many black clothes you have

  18. Jalisaa Lanaye says:

I wonder how amazingly organized those ladies that work at that company are. They’re houses or apartments are probably so nice to look at it.

  19. Esther Heeren says:

    Safiya on Ellen:

    Safiya: yess

    Safiya: OMG Ellen your didn’t
