USA needs gun control now! There is a big difference between a farmer with a shotgun or a hunter with a rife or a someone with a handgun protecting themselves or their home and a civilian with a weapon of war.

    • Mr. H says:

Paul Adams nobody goes to war with a AR15. Ignorant.

    • L Ashy says:

Were are you getting this information from??? Please show me as I’ve just looked at our crime statistic. ‘ The latest rise continues an upward trend seen in firearms offences in the last few years, however, offences are still 31% below a decade ago (in the year ending March 2007; Figure 7). Crime in England…. Also violent crime is not on the rise dramatically – plus there are very few mass shootings. Crime may have risen – by a small percentage… Propaganda yes!!!

    • Executive Decision says:

Nobody is advocating banning all guns, and if they are then they’re probably not serious. Australia had a shooting massacre at Port Arthur in 1996. Their ** conservative ** lawmakers then listened to the people and banned all automatic an semi-automatic weapons on that continent! As a result there have been no mass killings in the 22 years since!   They also voted to have a gun buy-back program.  Give existing gun owners a monetary incentive with the threat of arrest or at least a fine if they don’t,  and they’ll give up their weapons of war.  If it can work in other countries, it can work here in the USA!   But Republicans won’t do it because they’re owned 100% by the NRA lobbyist-terrorists.

  3. Luk Fletch says:

personally I think that the young man that went and shot up the school was not a deranged lunatic, but rather a brainwashed young impressionable, depressed young high schooler that thought shooting up the place would somehow help him feel better as a person. He was also heavily influenced by propaganda of the ws…kkk. I actually see him as a victim too. just saying.

    • arxsyn says:

Luk Fletch This is why gun control is important. America itself is now a breeding ground of gun toting, our-belief-is-our-reality-beyond-reason, conspiracy theorists/religions fanatics/misogynistic extremists of all kinds. What was once fringe is now acceptable. Proselytizing, radicalization, and fraternizing of these types of people is so easy with anonymity and reach of the internet. It’s terrible.

arxsyn I’m from the UK and we have continued to have mass shootings since the gun ban and gun crime has been on the rise dramatically the last ten years. Also the murder rate and violent crime rate is on the rise dramatically especially knife attacks not to mention terror attacks. It is not hard in the UK to obtain a gun illegally they are all over the streets. All the gun ban did was take away the guns from good people and give criminals the monopoly as police always arrive after the crime has been committed and the damage has been done. The UK is growing into a very violent place especially London Birmingham and the major cities. Don’t believe all the propaganda and this is coming from a guy who was very anti gun and supported the ban to now wishing we still had our gun rights to protect ourselves in these ever growing violent times

  7. Mlambr 21 says:

Ok. But just getting psych evals isnt going to do anything bc that system is flawed as well.

    • Dee Plorable says:

      Mlambr 21
Okay, but just banning an AR-15 isn’t going to do anything either. A lunatic will find an assault rifle one way or another.

    • Maximus Desimus says:

Mlambr 21 The shooter was already reported to the FBI months before the attack after he posted online that he was going to shoot up the school and they did nothing the blood is on their hands!

  8. ab9957 says:

Did you hear the sheriff at 4:24, it was almost drowned out by applause but he said “…you’re not standing up for them unless you want less weapons.” Hmmm..that’s revealing– and he’s not in the NRA. The woman at 6:00- that’s the emotional appeal tactic. You viewed the dead body sure, but did you view the security plan that failed at your school? Someday Dana will have to get up and walk out. These emotional kids blaming the NRA–if they were troubleshooting a light bulb out they would start by replacing the wiring. You kids are going to learn the hard lesson someday that your govt can’t protect you, better protect yourselves.

    • Steph Mo says:

      ab9957
i think the kids already made the experience that their goverment cannot protect them and thats because their goverment has its head way up the ass of the NRA….

    • Steph Mo says:

      Eric W
that was over 70 years ago, dude! since then there was a big sellout of the NRA where they traded thousand of innocent american lifes against some hard cash…cause let´s be real. that´s all they care about: selling as much weapons as possible. that´s why they are selling military style assault rifle aka weapons of war and mass destruction with the only purpose o kill as many people as posible in the shortest amount of time. or why there are new modells of handguns in pink and glitter so that 13yr old girls think it´s cute to have a gun…it´s just sick!

    • Alexis P says:

more conspiracy nonsense. If your friends got shot up, you’d act like this too.

  9. Maxime Rivard says:

As a Canadian, I wonder: How much more people have to die by gun violence until you realise more guns is not a viable solution. Look at Australia, Japan or the UK! Gun control works! I myself am a gun owner, but as a civilian, I should never allowed to have an assault weapon unless I passed a complete background check and an extensive training. I pray the citizens of the US, republicans and democrats, come together and install some common sense gun laws to prevent other massacres like this one or Vegas, just months ago. God bless you all in these tough times!

    • Max Hollis says:

Maxime Rivard Australia, Japan, and the UK are very different countries. When gun bans went into effect in Australia, there were already no guns there, same with Japan. UK just has acid and knife attacks. The US already has hundreds of millions of guns. Also, an AR-15 is not an assault rifle.

    • I Imasahm says:

Yes, we DO spend a lot on our military, and for da*n good reason.

    • thawn4444 says:

Gotta love when someone says “common sense” laws, but refuses to say what they think those laws should be. . .it means they really have no clue but just want to seem smart.

Yman83464 did you watch after this , because I did.

I saw a very sympathetic Marco Rubio try to appeal to logic, and their misplaced righteous indignation was hearing nothing. He tried explaining how most ARs are no different mechanically to other semi- automatic rifles and that a ban is meaningless in terms of outcome. Their response, ” let’s ban them all” followed by thunderous applause. No more I say, not 1 inch of freedom will be given for these adolescent minded adults to incorrectly feel secure in their misplaced ideas.

I will donate to the NRA and publicly denounce any weapon named ban.
Want to be secure, put security in schools, why are they not as valued as banks, or jewelery stores or government buildings that house politicians?

Fuck that cop, honor your oath to uphold the Constitution. This guy wants to get rid of due process and greatly diminish the second amendment. If 18 yr olds should never have rifles, we have to exempt them from military service, the draft and law enforcement training until their 21 St birthday. You also have to change the definition of adult because now you have created an adult with no second amendment rights.

    • ROBERT LEWIS says:

The NRA IS NOT A PART OF THIS GOVERNMENT AND WILL NOT BE! STOP STOP STOP!

    • Dan Fernandez says:

ROBERT LEWIS what does that have to do with anything?

  11. Ryan Reid says:

You don’t need a semi automatic or automatic guns and assault rifles for protection

civilians should be banned from obtaining such militaristic weapons which is used for combat not self defence

Ban on gun modifications like bump stocks

the minimum age should be 21 at lowest

background checks and criminal history(even minor as a parking tickets) should be looked into very seriously

Strict ban and heavy charges should be put on possession of illegal firearm

Mental illness in USA should be taken very seriously

    • Nam de Blanc says:

Banning guns doesn’t really prevent mass murder at all. There’s already so many guns in the USA, and do you think banning them will actually keep them out of the hands of criminals? Probably not since there is a black market, and besides, look at Paris, guns were banned there and that didn’t prevent ISIS from getting them. You also don’t need guns as there are many ways to commit mass murder if you think about it. With that said, it seems highly illogical to ban guns, and why I don’t support the motion.

    • datdevildawg6335 says:

DJskywalker because the gun bans have worked so well in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore and D.C. Growing up in Chicago I could go around the corner and buy any gun I wanted…even. street sweeper as they were called back then….but in Chicago I know one thing…better not bring that to school, or the security guard will shoot you in the face and not think twice.

    • datdevildawg6335 says:

And please show me how many school shootings have happened in a city school? And why not? BECAUSE ARMED SECURITY! Metal detectors…no backpacks allowed outside your locker….daily random locker checks. How do you shoot up a school you can’t even get into the 3 layers of security. And that was in the 90’s

    • Eric W says:

Thats how it was when I was a kid. We pay people to protect our banks, stadiums, federal buildings and airports with guns but people cringe at the thought of having a proper security staff at a school? smh.

You can’t have a discussion with liberals because they are literally foaming at the mouth with rage and hate at people with a different conclusion/opinion. They frame arguments and debates to where they give themselves the moral high ground, ignore logic and make emotional arguments. Laws should be based on logic and reason not emotion.

They should make it illegal to murder people……oh wait, people still do it anyways !

  16. Mr Harrison says:

Well, I have high respect that Dana Loesch came to the discussion

  17. Its Shemp!! says:

What a typical CNN setup! Dana against a bunch of activist! Nice job CNN, That Sheriff should be a little more accepting of some responsibility (as law enforcement). He shrugged all responsibility. He did have some good advice, until he wants “gun control”. What does that mean? bottom line it is WAY to early for this conversation with the parents of dead children. CNN knows this! Dana got balls to walk into that lions den! I give her props!

    • Kwisatz Haderach says:

If you are so concerned about gun control; write a congressman about how we are sending millions of guns & military grade hardware over seas to wage war on the entire Middle East.

    • Its Shemp!! says:

    • ShandalfGreyhame says:

I disagree, it’s not too early to have conversations about this. It’s never too early. I mean, I’m also on your side in terms of gun control etc. but the narrative that it’s too early is a poor excuse that neither side should use.

  19. Joshua Susice says:

Why do you insane leftists paint the NRA is the bad guy? It is the NRA that fights for your right to protect yourself at least on a Level Playing Field. It is the laws of the insane left that create gun-free zones ! This shooter didn’t care that it was a gun-free zone ! The left creates soft targets which are targeted 90-plus percent of the time in mass shootings ! These zones are soft targets and leave people defenseless . And many of these school districts get millions for lunch programs why can’t you take 40K and put an armed plain clothes security guard in each School. When guns become illegal do you think that a criminal will just say oh this gun is illegal and throw it down no! Criminals get guns now and they will keep guns and continue to get guns whether they are legal or not. That is besides the point these so-called reasonable gun laws that no one even knows what they are or what the solutions will be will affect good people who already follow the law. If there was an armed security guard returning fire on an active shooter at the very least he gives others a chance at Escape and saves lives! Because a shooter will always fire at his biggest perceived threat first. The first people to stand up and fight back in a situation like this would be NRA members! We are not criminals we are people who would put our life’s on the line to protect others from crazy shooters! The left don’t believe in the right to self-defense we do. As far as taking away the Second Amendment why should I have to defend my home on a Level Playing Field from an armed invader whether he’s armed with a knife a gun or a bat if he’s in my home to do harm or on the street to harm my family and I shouldn’t I have the advantage over the criminal or would be murderer and not reduce myself 2 being in a knife fight or bare-fisted against someone with a gun or knife? I know the answer to these questions. I respect the personal freedoms of others! But what the crazy left needs to understand is freedom is all about respecting the personal freedoms of others.
