(Slow-Mo) 2m Wedge-Tailed Eagle takes down Drone – Australia (Eagle is Fine)

Official Slow Motion version.

As seen on The herald sun, abc america

**Eagle was fine – she was massive, and used talon’s to ‘punch’ the drone out of the sky. Hung around overhead so i got a really good look. Eagle’s health was my main concern also**

This is the last thing a small bird sees when a Wedge-Tailed Eagle decides that you are dinner…

Do not fly drones near birds of prey, they clearly attack seeing you as a threat or the right sized dinner. This will cost you money and potentially harm to the bird. This one was fine.. the drone needed some attention before it could fly again.

If you see a bird of prey while flying. Land. I have added this to my operating procedure.

Does the insurance cover for “random bird of prey attacks” hahaha

It’s illegal to kill an eagle, so if a drone kills an eagle can we then
arrest it? Or rather the person operating the drone?

Drones, like other obnoxious technology should not be for recreational
purposes except for within specifically designated areas. You normally
can’t run a race car except for on racetracks or radio controlled airplanes
outside of flyparks. Why is this intrusive technology allowed virtually
unfettered access to the skies around us? They should primarily be used for
professional reasons only. Snowmobiles, ATV’s, motocross bikes, mountain
bikes, etc. all fall into this category. They are a pox on nature. Use them
for work or emergencies(licensed), otherwise confine them to well-defined
spaces. It’s getting ridiculous and it’s only just beginning. People are so
incredibly lazy that some of them even consider this a sport. Be one with
nature instead of overpowering and dominating it. (I just love the sounds
of a compromised servo motor). Airplanes and drones, airplanes and
lasers—I can’t believe some moron hasn’t combined the drone and the laser
    yet. It’s coming.

This isn’t the first raptor to take down a drone. If Amazon start
delivering packages this way I might buy a large falcon.

Every American should own an eagle. That way, we wouldn’t have to use
shotguns to shoot down drones. Just send in the eagle. Precision strike
    every time.
