So happy he got to meet Rusty again, and got to see Clara again, and even happier he got one last hug with Bill & Nardole. The moment I heard “No sir, all thirteen” and saw this man’s eyebrows for the first time, I knew *INSTANTLY* he would become *my* Doctor! This man embodies *EVERYTHING* the Doctor is. He’s so effortlessly as the Doctor, it actually baffles me! In this incarnation, he doesn’t particularly care if people find him warm or lovable. He doesn’t show up trying to look heroic or cool or even remotely impressive. *He’s just an idiot passing through, with a box and a screwdriver. Helping out, learning..* Pudding brain humans can dislike his tactics, that’s fine by him. He’s trying to do the best he can and save as many people as possible when the situation requires it, and if people hate the way he does it, well, he’ll try to do better, but he won’t be too broken up about not making new friends! The Doctor whose eyebrows are enough to send the mo3nsters of a million galaxies and the denizens of demons fleeing in fear. The Doctor who defeated Rassilon without speaking a single word other than *_”Get off my planet.”_* The Doctor whom all Gallifreyans bow in respect. The Doctor that spent 24 years with River Song on Darillium. The Doctor who River loves and pledges herself to! The Doctor who fought so hard to rescue Clara that he literally went to the end of the universe to save her, and he doesn’t even know how out of control he is, until he realises the scared look on Clara’s face *_”Oh Clara Oswald, what am I doing?”_* The Doctor who has very little time for most humans but still cares and still shows up to help when he can with his kindness, his determination and his unyielding belief in his own goodness! As Twelve himself said *_”I’m sick of losing people. One day, the memory of that will hurt so much that I won’t be able to breathe, and I’ll do what I always do. I’ll get in my box and I’ll run and I’ll run, in case all the pain ever catches up. And every place I go, it will be there.”_* this is how I’m feeling saying goodbye to Twelve! I’m just grateful for the past 4 years we’ve had this man as the Doctor, and forever grateful to Moffat for casting the greatest actor Doctor Who has ever managed to attract! Twelve, the Doctor, *my* Doctor. We had the best of times. Love is always wise!

  6. David O'Donoghue says:

I hope there’s a trailer soon for season 11. I think Capaldi could’ve had a better send off but this was still good.

  7. Richard Hymers says:

Even tardis don’t want her but we must give her one chance

    • Bomb Twenty says:

No it isn’t, it is occult symbolism. Fallen angel symbolism is always the same, falling to earth. Just as in the movie The Man Who Fell To Earth, or Moonraker, which were occult allegories of the book of Enoch. Just as in Enoch where angels descend to earth and take on the form of men, she’s descending and taking on the form of a woman

    • Charles Hadle says:

Within 18 hours of Regeneration…. damn good thing…. the sucky part is always the severe deceleration trauma. Looked about 30-40k feet above Earth which would take about 3 minutes to make ‘earthfall’.

  10. Adam Thomas says:

    Oh brilliant is right

  11. Time Freeze says:

Peter, you will always be my favourite doctor. You left your heart and soul in every episode. Well done

  12. Jack Monaghan says:

Shame Capaldi didn’t sign off with “Fuckity bye”.

  13. Adrian Preston says:

“Oh Brillant” Hope thats her doctors catch phase.

  14. Daniel Smith says:

For me Capaldi is up there with one of the best doctors of all time and this scene certifies that. Beautifully acted and beautifully written, a more than fitting ending for such a brilliant doctor…

    • Amelia Pond says:

Totally agree with you Peter Capaldi is an amazing actor and he did brilliant as the Doctor. I’m going to miss him a lot, but I’m also really excited to see Jodie as the Doctor

  17. ali Servan says:

I’m really hoping she does the Doctor with a Yorkshire accent >.<

    • Tench nio says:

she should be in Emmerdale not Doctor Who.

    • ali Servan says:

Trench nio the issue isn’t with her as an actress or a female Doctor, it’s Chris Chibnall who is a talentless and lazy hack with zero imagination. Let’s hold off on the judgement until we’ve got a few episodes under our collective belts

    • lwaves says:

+ali Servan Yes, Ecclescake has a Lancashire accent and Jodie’s is Yorkshire but I’m sure people will get used to it. They got used to a Scottish accent. I was a bit curious and looked it up, they were actually born really close to each other, only a few miles away. Just shows what your upbringing can change.
As for Chibnall, they said similar things about the director David Fincher after Alien3 and look how that turned out. I’m not saying it’ll work out the same but you talk about holding off judgement, yet you’ve already pre-judged him.

    • ali Servan says:

Iwaves Fair point, except Jodie is untested in the role and Chibnall has already produced some grade A shit

    • Jeremy MacDonald says:

ali Servan well most Americans wouldn’t be able to pick it. They’ll say she English.

  18. jamj59 says:

Well the tardis did better than me: it lasted 43 seconds before trying to get rid of her.

  19. Chaos Is Coming says:
